Here is an article about a re-release/redo of the original 1988 version of Bionic commando. It'll be coming out on Xblox Live Arcade, PSP, and a slew of other system. I'm more excited about this than the new one coming out.

Can't watch the video at the moment. So is this a remake of the arcade game or the NES one?

It's a remake of the NES game. They've redone the graphics and sound but the level deisgn is the same. I've also noticed they've added the ability to pick up and throw barrels and throw the people you're fighting. The original was/is one of my favorite games to play.

God, this makes me so happy. The arcade one was mediocre, but the NES game is one of my all time favorites as well.

to be fair Kevin, the post you linked is about a Bionic Commando sequel.. with only a derail in it about 'Rearmed' (a remake of the original - still 2d, whereas the topic you linked is a 3d continuation..). Not sure if this actually HAD its own thread before.

Wow. Music is amazing. This has to be the best video game remix music I've ever heard. The original tunes are intact but they're actually disguised as legitimately good electronic tracks.
