IGN Best of 2007

They aren't going to show their pick for GoTY until January 11th... but oh well.

I guess Uncharted is a must have for PS3. Haven't followed PS3 at all. Really that good?

I can live with GOTY for PC. (though it really wasn't my style. CoD 4 baby!)

300 gets their movie of the year!

Brady gets NFL athlete of the year! (Pats Fan)

I really need to get into comics again.. The artistry now going into them is simply amazing.

I actually liked most of their picks, for anything I knew about.

You don't have to be a pats fan to admit Brady is doing pretty damn well this season. Although having gosu receivers helps too ^_^

IGN Best of 2007

Good picks for all the PC awards, in my opinion. Except for Gears of War. I still don't get it. Well they created a category just for it. It had to win. Besides that, Bioshock, Crysis, Orange Box and COD4 all got and deserved some kind of award for being excellent.

CoD4 didn't win anything, actually (although it got a few runner-ups), which I found kind of odd. That would have probably been my vote for Best Action game, and possibly best FPS (either that or TF2 - which wasn't even mentioned in that category). TF2 would have also been my Best Online Multiplayer vote.

And, as always, I'll take issue with Game of the Year being anything other than the Orange Box, if you're going to consider it a single entity (which they did, for that category). That, and I didn't like Bioshock.

lol, I hate IGN so much. "Best Music Game:"..... honestly? Was there such a great need to create an award for the whole... 3 music games?

I would find it strange if any game that didn't win for their respective console's game of the year, wins game of the year.... it just doesn't make sense any other way to me -_-

The 360 ones confuse me a bit, though. For instance, how does TF2 win Best Artistic Design for PC (Bioshock was a runner up), yet Bioshock won best Artistic Design for the 360 (TF2 not even mentioned)? How is their artistic design any different between the two systems?

Yeah, 300 wasn't even good. After about 40 minutes I just wanted it to end, but it kept dragging on and on. If I was 13 I'd probably have loved the damn thing.

Thanks! I was starting to worry, since it seemed like I was the only person on the planet who didn't like Bioshock.

CoD4 is pretty easily the best PC game this year, and Gears of War was probably the most fun I've ever had with an action game (played almost entirely co-op with a RL friend).
