| From what I gather, you have to upgrade to 2.71 (http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/525), then you can downgrade to 1.5 (zSHARE - corruption-free-2.71-to-1.50-downgrader.rar) - THEN you can upgrade to custom firmware (Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!, which allows what you want. PSPISO <---Looks to be a great guide for all upgrade/downgrading. You need to register on the site to see the thread, but it's well worth it because it will also supply you with links to download ANY ROMs or Emulators you may want. +26 Internets | I have to really disagree. I have a 4 gig SanDisk and it hasn't given me a single problem. I have played, at the very least, fifty PSP games on this card. Not to mention, probably around 20 PSX games. I am nearing the end of FF IX and getting ready to replay FF VII. |

I have a hacked PSP and am using a 4gb card. All I do is drag and drop PSP ISOs onto the card and then play them from the root menu of the PSP. It's 100x easier than using those stupid fucking UMD discs which take about a millennium to load a level. There is nothing that is a pain in the ass about playing games from a memory stick unless you are not familiar with the concept of 'drag and drop'. And wtf are you talking about unstable. Do you even own a PSP? Or know how flash memory works? Wow.

+13 Internets | Id assume he meant its unstable for the reason that PS1 games were designed for a PS1 and not a PSP which could result in possible crashes? I don't pirate any psp/ds games personally, but i did just pick up Jeanne D'arc so i hope this is as good as FFtactics was XD |

| Glad to hear it isn't so unstable, considering I just spent $200 for the PSP Bundle, $100 for 8G memory stick, and $30 for a Pandora Battery. ![]() Luckily you can make the Magic Mem Sticks on your computer, else I would have had to pay over $60 for the Battery and Stick. |

Anyways, will be a few days before I get it (PSP hasn't even been packaged yet, Newegg is slow on weekends. Atleast Amazon has my Memory stick on the way already), but I'll post how it goes. Last edited by Believe : 12-30-2007 at 02:25 PM.

| Wow. Well I finally took my Christmas gift cards to Target and Wal-Mart and got myself a PSP slim, screen protectors and memory stick duo and GTA vice city stories and FFT and Monster Hunter Freedom 2, although i could only find that at our local sound go round. Holy shit this thing blows away my ds. It is so much more fun. I love the sound of it and the graphics are so awesome on GTA and MHF2. I can't believe how much better looking everything is on this. Gotta find a nice case though. Anyone have any good recommendations? |

| Yeah, I've put it off for awhile, and I'm going to finally go ahead and get a PSP Slim. What's a good price range to search for? Trying to find some good deals online, not really sure what the avg/good price for it is.. suggestions? I saw a bundle on EB Games that came w/FFT for about 200.. but it called it the PSP 'Core'.. is that the old fatter one? Thanks, didn't wanna start a new thread about it. |
