Searched the forums, and found nothing.

Has anyone been able to play the JP version? From what I read it may even be better then FF 7 and its real time?

I played a bit of the Japanese version and I'm really looking forward to the US one(I can't read a lick of Japanese). It's pretty solid.

Anyone else had a go yet?

The game system takes some getting used to, initially it seems to be pure button mashing but I'm sure after playing for longer than 5 minutes it will come into focus. A mix of realtime and turnbased fighting using the triggers and x button.

Yes, i only played 5 minutes, played through the first 2 fights and stopped because its playing the movies like crap on my psp. They stutter and jerk all over the place, dunno if it's my memory card or psp that sucks

As the movies ingame are up to the usual SE level I want to enjoy them properly so until i can sort out the problem I won't ruin the enjoyment I'll get out of this. I tried changing the iso loader in the config but no dice as yet and it seems I suck at googling as I cant find anyone else around the net with the same problem. edit: Looks like it's my crappy memory card, a "real" is on the way!

But anyways, the game itself. Certainly worth a look, it hooked me a lot more than God Of War did on the psp the other day.

Thats not saying much. Game Informer gave it just above a 7.

I'm going to wait until i can get it used since it won't be a rare game and I'm backlogged.

As a game, I think this one actualy gives rpg lovers of 7 what they want- alittle 'normal' mix with alittle kingdom hearts (btw fighting 1 winged spehy in KH was fun as hell) - it gives alot of Zhack fanbois the background they have wanted and - in a way pulls a StarWars in the fact that if you play the games chronologicly- you loose half the 'good parts' of FF7 by knowing what happend- aka dont play this then ff7- it however does not do what Sqeenix said all these spin offs would do by the project name (FF7 completion) as DoC and AC really do not tie off all the strings of FF7 and only open more up- this game wont satisfy those loose ends...because well its a prequle to 7 duh-- however it will be fun :-)

He makes a short cameo in Advent Children. I never played DoC but I doubt he's in there.

I wish they would remake FF7. I could stand to brush up on the story, because I think it was pretty good, but I don't wanna play with those graphics and interface anymore.
