+6 Internets | Aladdin Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse Chelnov aka Atomic Runner (more for originality than quality though) Daimakaimura aka Ghouls & Ghosts Dynamite Heady Elemental Master Gunstar Heroes Landstalker Mushya Aleste Quackshot starring Donald Duck Rocket Knight Adventures Shinning and the Darkness Snow Bros Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures 2 Strider Hiryu Tatsujin aka Truxton (more sentimental value than anything) The Super Shinobi Thunder Force 4 (or 3?) Wonderboy V On the CD rom thingy: Snatcher (because Kojima's mix of Bladerunner and Invasion of The Body Snatchers is cool) Sylpheed (another of these games that should have been robed of all its good ideas and copied mercilessly yet it never happened) Switch (because an endless chain of Pythonesque jokes is cool)

+3 Internets | Xmen was so awesome. That reset trick was downright cruel against a 12 year old. But, aside from that, that game was so abuseable and badass. It was like the unpatched Everquest of sidescrolling action games. Once you were good enough not to just beat it, but abuse the shit out of it and speedrun it in like 10 minutes it was a serious blast. Here's a hint: Never use Gambit. Never use Wolverine (at least, I don't think there was a part where wolverine was crucial to getting through shit fast). 2 was good fun, but nowhere near as 'open' as the first game felt. I'd totally play any game in the same vein, the thinking man's action game. |
