UT3 on PS3

This game is insane,anyone playing this on the PS3? theres absolutely no slow down and it looks like gears of war but on a massive warhammer 40k scale. Theres so many weapons ,Vehicles,and boards.

Its like Gears of War on crack

got to be the sleeper hit of the year for consoles.

If anyones interested it works with the new rumble ps3 controler,and can be upscaled to 1080p.

Can't wait fr the Mod support

Also compatible with USB keyboard and mouse.

Edit - I haven't gotten around to picking it up yet, but when I go do my Christmas shopping later this week I'll be getting it while I'm at the store. Still playing through Ratchet & Clank at the moment, but I've been looking forward to this for a while.

My wife got me this for christmas (well, i'm like 99% sure anyways) so Il'l have to wait until then, been looking forward to it for some time now.

How is the online play?

Online play is amazeing, campaign isn't to shabby either. Campaign is kinda like a sports game or something like ace combat where it loads a level and you complete a series of objectives to complete it.

I had no clue how good this game was going to be ,being a long time halo player I thought that Halo was the king of the hill, but this game took me by suprise and halo 3 is currenty collecting dust to play this beast of a game.

Its just pure fun

My concern is the online environment. Do you just join a game? Is there a waiting room, how is it set up? is it just like madden where you wait for a competitor or what?

There are dedicated servers, which already makes it better than most online console games out there.

Theres no waiting room,you can pick the server you want based on ping and filter type just like most PS3 games,and they just put you into a match and balence the teams at that point.

Im not to sure on all the online matchmakeing becuase i've been playing alot of warfare which is like a big team battle with huge maps,and those games take hours to complete. Also been playing through Campaign with a friend of mine co-op online because the bots are actuely really good.

You can customize youre online character which is kinda cool so you look kinda unique,

I got this for the PC. Good stuff, I don't like a few of the changes from UT2004 though. Loss of adrenaline is a step backward imo. I'm not liking the 'orb' mechanic... yet. It might grow on me though.

I usually play against bots.

Yah I want to try the KB/mouse eventualy to see how it is. I know there working on a patch to adress some issues ,like they forgot to add Dodge for they keyboard users,and from what I read on the boards some mice aren't as responsive as they would like it,has something to do with V-synch being enabled or something
