| My favorite ps2 RPGs have already been listed, I'll just give my opinions on them. Summoner 2 is one of my favorite RPGs ever. Fun combat, good story, good graphics, and some really neat art work. I wish Summoner 1 never existed because no one was willing to even try 2, which sucks because the game is so great. Any RPG fan who hasn't played it is doing themselves a dis-service imo. Growlanser Generations (2 and 3 bundled) is fucking great. 2 is one of my favorite games. It flowed so smoothly and all the abilities, combat situations, and multiple story paths just rock. Disgaea 1 and 2 are excellent. No other tactics games come close to them imo. No, not even FFT. FFXII I loved. I had a blast playing it, the only thing I didn't like is how the story just kind of disappeared at the end of the game. Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 are both fun if you have a buddy to play with. Just make sure you get them both because the ending of 1 is a stupid lead in to the next game that says "This is a tale for another day". They should have just said "This is a tale for another 50 bucks". DQ8 is a solid throwback game, but by the end of it I got so bored with the combat. I couldn't ever get back in to it to finish it. It was a fun story though, and it had a great nostalgic feel to it that so many games these days fail at. Valkyrie Profile 2 is pretty cool, although strange at times. I really liked the characters, story, artwork, and the mature feeling of it. Any one ever played Okage? It was a pretty easy game, I'm guessing geared towards younger people, but it had a funny sense of dark humor to the game. My wife and I played through it together and she liked it. My sister borrowed it and loved it. Hmm, maybe it's geared towards women. |

| I love FF, but I couldn't make myself play KH2 after how kiddied KH1 was. My ship made out of gummies? Freakin little kid with a key kicks the shit out of Cloud and Squall? GOOFY AND DONALD FOLLOWING ME AROUND ALL GAME!? Gah. Get me the hell out of here.

+17 Internets | What the fuck? Donald and Goofy are awesome and two of the best cartoon characters ever created you god damned heathen. Also while the Gummie ship in KH1 sucked ass, KH2's Gummie ship levels are some of the best and most fun Shooter stages you'll ever experience. |

| Above and beyond the normal Square experience (Story/FMVs/Characters), these games has some of the best "fast-paced" combat around, especially late in each game. Don't think the combat's that great? Show me a video of you beating Sephiroth in either game, then I'll let you whine about Kingdom Hearts It's harder than FF8's last boss.Seriously though, you're missing out if it's just the old "Disney" excuse. Very cool games, both of them. |

+17 Internets | Okay, I honestly do not understand the "Too fruity" or "Too Disney" stuff. I just like, don't get it at all. None of that stuff phases me in the slightest or bothers me at all. In fact, I enjoy most of it. |

| I can't say a whole lot for the majority of games on Sean's list, though I do have to say that SMT:Nocturne, Kingdom Hearts 1, Valkyrie Profile 2 and the .hack//GU series are all fucking -amazing-. I love me some jrpg action, but some simply turn me off when I start the game and my character is a gay wizard/ass-melee character. Main character is a badass guy with a big sword or at least blue hair, preferably both. Not having either means no go for the most part =/

| I'm with Sean on this one. I've been watching Disney cartoons and movies all of my life and even if my adult mind knows it is silly I still love most of it (the old school stuff that is, Donald and Mickey and Goofy, etc.). And the FF tie-in is just great fan service as far as I am concerned. I will definitely be getting both KH games. Regarding the SMT games, I think the only one I played was the original Persona way back on the Playstation but I loved that game so I'm really hyped to try those out. I bought Persona 3 last week but it looks like the Digital Devil Saga and Nocturne games are going to be pricey to pick up. Looks like I'll be watching ebay for those. And is Valkyrie Profile 2 similar to the first one or did they dumb it down to much? I really liked the original and I'm playing through the PSP version now to get the "A" ending. Asgard Hill here I come! |
