| TradeWars: Rising For all of us old folks (read: those of us who played door games on BBSs), I just found a freakin' awesome game. TradeWars 2002 was probably the best door game ever(fuck LoRD!) and has been floating around on random telnet servers for awhile but they're hard to find now. Apparently some folks said "enough" and started a web-based applet called TradeWars: Rising. It's exactly like the old TW2002 except it is now very, very graphical. It's great and actually up to date. Their last news entry is dated today, Nov. 28, believe it or not. I'm robotempire, playing in the Test Game. Send me a message (type "/to robotempire [message]" in the text box). |

+1 Internets | Was pretty cool for like 10 mins, then was exploring looking for new trade outposts and was instantly dead and had no money. Gay.

| If you pop in send me a tell. I'm catching the gist of the game again. Definitely takes some time to get used to the graphical theme but... As far as dying, the key is to look at the map and find two trading posts that are next door sector-wise, then just go back and forth making mad money. Go to the SpaceDock often to deposit most of your money. (Not a lot to buy right now, once your ship is maxed out with mines, fighters and shields. Only four ships. I want my dreadnaught!) |

+27 Internets | I actually did a double-take when I saw the thread title. Talk about a blast form the past... I'm still not sure if I'd want to go back and try it again, to be honest, regardless of the fun I had playing it at the time. |

| Yes, I'll give another head nod to Astro-Empires. Use my ref link and I'll split any bonus I get, along with assist with any newbie questions via AIM. If you start in Delta:25 we can also exchange trade routes to boost our economy. Astro Empires |
