| Its still probably the greatest moment to come out of any gaming tournament, ever.

| God, I love Street Fighter. I remember playing the shit out of it when the first when came out. I did lose some of my faith in it when I played the EX 3D series which was shit. I really need to try out SF3. That tournament clip is so fucking amazing. I think SF is probably one of the few fighting games out there that they still deliver in the 2D format. |

What people don't realize is that this sort of thing was not uncommon in play in Japan. Quote:
You should also check out CVS2 (Capcom vs SNK2) if you're into 2D fighters. | ||

+4 Internets | For those of you who are thinking of trying out Street Fighter 4 or Super Street Fighter 2:HD Remix, I highly recommend watching this video series. Though it's intended for super turbo, a lot of the techniques in it are pretty universal for Capcom fighting games. Especially the section about controlling space. They are all pretty useful players of any skill level. +5 Internets | Hopefully this will be awesome. Would be nice to have a good excuse to get back into fighters again. I fondly remember beating my fair share of ass in MK2 on X-Band (old school reresent!) I've not "seriously" been into fighters since Mortal Kombat 3. Always hated Tekken. I liked Street Fighter 3 but never was that big where I live. I like the Soul Caliber series but I have a hell of a hard time remembering all the moves and just end up getting frustrated. Hopefully Guile makes a comeback. He was always my favorite in Vanilla/Street Fighter 2 Turbo. What are the good Street Fighter games for PS2? |

| Well, I'd recommend the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, where you get all three alpha games in one plus cool extras. Then you also have the biggie, which is Street Fighter Anniversary Collection which has Street Fighter 3 and basically super street fighter 2 turbo but with the added bonus of being able to select versions of the characters from older games (like champion edition guile and whatnot) Street fighter related I'd also recommend Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (Though this game is rare and goes for a lot on things like ebay) You'd pretty much have the complete street fighter experience with those games. |
