I grew up playing fighting games with that guy in the arcade. He's an animator at Sony now (worked on the God of War series).

He's insanely serious about SF. So much, that he ordered TWO SF4 arcade boards from Japan and hooked them up to his LCD TV months ago. He's a beast at all versions and variations of the SF series. I, on the other hand, am not. I love the game, and I'll be playing SF4 a lot. But, a god I am not.

There is one minor concern that was brought up recently. If you notice in the videos that Aborath posted of the console version the power/revenge meter is covering the characters feet.
In the arcade it is much lower ,and does not do that.

The reason they did that was to compensate for people using the 4:3 ratio.

Everyone is hoping there is an option at launch to move them down,but for now noone knows. It's pretty obscene if you look at it.

He's a Hori fan, but I think he built his sticks. My roommate is a Hori fanatic too, and since they both beat the shit out of me regularly, that pretty much makes me a Hori fan (seems I should be a Hori hater though lawl).

I was just curious to know how the denizens of FOH felt about the two manufacturers. I may wait for reviews before making a purchase.

To be fair Madcatz has sucked ass. The people making the pads and sticks are a new team put together for SF4. Basically they picked the best custom stick makers in the biz.

Only the High end Hori's are good imho.

That is definitely annoying as fuck. If they don't let you move that bar around, that is going to really piss me off.

they let you use the Japanese version of the voices I believe. The commentator may always be in Engrish tho..

It wouldn't be so bad if it were the regular "Round 1. Fight!" commentary, but to hear the guy talking throughout the fight IS beyond obnoxious.
