| I hope if it's rendered in 3d that it's restricted to no more than 60 fps, and that it's 2D. To be honest I also hope it's sprite-based. I have immense respect for beautiful hand-drawn art. Guilty Gear graphics = come in my pants. |

+6 Internets | Sounds cool but don't have a huge amount of fighting game experience. The only one I ever really liked was Soul Calibre (all of them) and my best guy is Cervantes. But he is probably an ez-mode character. ![]() PS: I think it would be cool if they made it 3D graphics but locked sideways like the early MK/SF. I never felt the 3D sidestepping/turning added much to these type of games. Last edited by Froofy-D : 10-17-2007 at 06:52 PM. |

+5 Internets | Yay yay yay! I'm glad I have a brand new shiny all sanwa arcade stick in my hot little hands. I'm all sorts of ready. As for the online play comments, though it isn't perfect, fighters are quite playable in an online format. Third Strike on Kaillera has been quite good, even with parrying. There is a slight difference in timing between a live game and online, but it is totally something you can adjust for (unless you or your opponent have a total shit connection). Even multi-hit parries aren't really different (only the timing on the first hit is off, other than that, it's the same rhythm). I hear the netcode for GGPO is even better. It is up for Alpha 2 and MvC1 if anyone is interested. Oh and if you're unaware, Shoryuken is pretty much the online competitive fighting community. The database is pretty hosed now due to the announcement traffic, but it is the place to watch for up to date info on SF4. |

+15 Internets | That's what made Bushido blade so great. You could stand there for 15 minutes not doing a damn thing, and it'd be one of the most intense gaming experiences ever. Then after all that waiting and stance changing most games would be over in one hit. It was a very mechanically shallow fighter, but tactically brilliant. |

| It was just my opinion. Compared to SF2, many of the characters are just off the wall and really didn't fit in imo. Which sucks since the game mechanics are of course much better. I can only hope they go back to having more realistic type characters and try to stay away from aliens/robots/ninjas and shit. Last edited by DeBo : 10-18-2007 at 07:38 AM. |

| You'd never see stuff like that in an online version of Street Fighter. I dunno, maybe some way of matching and connecting you to people less then x milliseconds away?
