| I can dance if I want to | Arturo said he's going full Dhalsim in the future, like me he wasted a lot of time on Seth, but it's still your best character when you have so much investment until your others catch up...just like I'd play Seth in a tournament right now but I spend 100% of my time outside it on Akuma, Bison, and Gief. And honestly, I think the video you posted is a great example of why Seth sucks. Very first round, Seth has to get in 10 times to win. He lost 70% of his health to a single move, and he would of lost except Rico missed his opportunity the second time he hit him. I think you guys really under-estimate how lopsided that is, you're relying on your opponent to make 8+ mistakes, and you only get to make 1, second one kills you. Edit: To clarify, I'm saying that Arturo is such a good player he deals with that disadvantage, you can tell he *barely* scrapes by with those wins, and for the other 99% of us who aren't as good as him, Seth is just unviable, as I said, no one possesses the skill to play him at his peak. | Flaccid Steel | Arturo used Dhalsim exclusively when he was in Japan and it's pretty obvious why. Watching Arturo play Seth shows exactly why Seth is a bad character. One combo and Seth is down 30-50% life. I also love how a full power ultra from Abel kills Seth outright from 50%. |

Again, I hardly think Seth is the best character, not even top tier. But there are *far* worse out there. Having 700 health sucks, but having 900-1000 health and still sucking as a character is much worse. Seth at least has good moves.

That said, Cammy is a fucking solid character and incredibly underrated. She lacks the fireball of a shoto but she gains rufus's dive kicks that allow for incredibly mixups/pressure.

+10 Internets | So in those videos both Sanford and Daigo were throwing out seemingly random light kicks. I can understand Sandford buffering demon or something, but why would Daigo do so?

+2 Internets | Random light kick pokes have long been used in chicken games. That perspective on Seth is kind of neat. I hadn't really considered it like that before. I play arcade most of the time, so I never play against him or with him. |

+10 Internets | I would have thought it was something more complex than that since they were at a distance in which that a standing light kick would never hit. Oh well.

+2 Internets | I can't tell you for sure in that context, as the great firewall of China is blocking those vids. I've seen a lot of people use them to make their opponent think they committed to something with a longer recovery, to force a reaction which they can then punish. It's classically used in shoto fights to get the other person to jump over an imaginary fireball for a free anti-air. |

+20 Internets | Watching Diago play those matches was so.... underwhelming boring and predictable. Just fireball, fireball, fireball, fireball,(they jump) SHORYUKEN!, fireball, sweep, fireball, fireball, fireball, fireball, low kick, fireball, fireball, low kick, fireball, fireball, (they jump) SHORYUKEN!, fireball .... blah blah. Seriously, that wasn't an exaggeration, that was Diago's move list for the first round of that video. I guess it worked though (obviously) as Akuma just kept jumping and running into them. |

He wins just about every fucking tournament there is, so why change strategies? Can call it gay or whatever, but it works and he's the best at it. I am sure he does lose from time to time, but he's still the champ.

+19 Internets | I always thought it was baiting. Pretty sure both guys are like right next to each other and can here each other tapping on buttons and shit, so they'll do a fireball motion but hit a kick button (resulting in nothing, and short is the fastest recovery) to try and bait someone to jump in where they can DP or whatever.

| I watched the first round of those videos... Sanford actually expects to beat daigo as akuma? I thought he was always ranting and raving on how he'd beat daigo no problem as cammy when he got the chance? Daigo plays akumas like Momochi why the fuck would an above average american akuma player phase him? Haha
