| So i bought SFIV on the 360. Well got it on Ebay for 20 bucks. Waiting for it to come in. WHat i want to know is how good are the default sticks and buttons on the tournament edition madcatz sticks? Trying to find some opinions of the sticks. I dont want to make another fucking board. They are cheaper, but alot more work.

It's the PCB in them that blows, the 360 version in particular is plagued with issues on RT. Also what do you mean "don't want to make another board?" If you mean case for another stick, you can buy really nice premade ones for $25-$40 from QCFgaming. Generally speaking, if you're looking at spending $100+ for a second stick just for 360, you're better off dual modding/paying someone to dualmod your current stick.

I also have a wired 360 controller if it gets down to me needing a board. I am thinking for me its a good investment either way. I play SFIV alot still and when SS hits i am sure it will continue. I just love playing.

All Seth's tools doesn't change that he dies in 1-2 hits, this is why he's the worst character; because *no one* can consistently play a perfect game where they never get hit, and that is what is required for Seth to be good. Most everyone who mained Seth in serious competition(except Josh Ballard), dumped him because actually playing Seth makes it plain as day that he's an unviable character.

+3 Internets | Tier lists are far from gauging by "perfection" at this point. The game is still relatively new. Right now, there are people who play Seth well enough to show the rest of the world that he is a mid-tier character, just like Alex said. Most likely, he will never be the best character. And just like you said, his low health more than evens out his impressive set of tools. Still though, that doesn't mean he is the "borderline worst character". |

| I can dance if I want to | I have to respectfully disagree, there is not a single player out there who can play Seth and get consistent victory using him. I invested 8 months/thousands of hours into him, and those of us who play him agree, he's a gamble that is not worth the risk. I'm a low-tier whore in fighting games, I love playing the worst characters and getting good with them, but I had to give it up. A character who has *no margin of error* is simply unviable. Look at any competition match and see how many times each player gets a hit in on the other...around 4-5 for the victor. It only takes 1-2 against Seth, weighed towards 1. The other major issue is that on top of having the lowest health/taking the most damage, Seth *does* some of the worst damage. You need to get in on your opponent 8-10 times to win, especially at distance. His strong game is up close mixup, which if it lands...great, you stun them. Most of the time though they get a lucky guess and woops, there goes 80%(or more) of your life. Seth is a character you have to play to understand why he's so terrible, cause I agree that he seems OK on paper. |

| No. I've played 1 or 2 people that are simply fucking amazing with seth, one of which I've recently found out will be at a local tournament here this weekend. I plan on attending to get my shit pushed in by him ![]()

| I can dance if I want to | Fact that Arturo, Josh, the "amazing Seths you know" or maybe me on a good day can go to a local tourney and steam roll it with Seth is a reflection of the skill of everyone else, not the viability of Seth. Since Seth is such a rare character he has the rarity edge a lot of times in his favor, as any Seth main can tell you, when you're playing people who actually know how to play against him, it's incredibly against you. They'll turtle the whole match knowing they only need to get in once to win, where as you have to actively avoid them. Arturo gave up Seth for the same reasons I did in the end, at the high level of play, he's bottom tier, and as I said, the tier lists don't reflect that. |

(edit) Arturo's seth vrs Rico's Abel: Rico Suave (Abel) vs Arturo (Seth) (EDIT #2) I wouldn't say Seth is high tier, but to call him low tier is pretty silly. There are easily some characters who are FAR worse off than Seth. Vega, Dan, SAkura, Gouken, and Rose instantly come to mind.
