+16 Internets | I remember we were on vacation in Florida when my parents broke down and bought a Nintendo. First game we got was Bionic Commando. Talk about torpedoing any chance that my brother and I were going to go out and do stuff. I remember after we got home getting to the final boss while my dad watched - "Is that Hitler?" "It would appear to be Hitler, yes" "Ok, fair enough." Man, is there ever a better boss than a clone of Hitler to kill in a game? Talk about replay value; I hope we can kill him in multiple ways this time. |

| These next gen remakes of 8 bit games just don't do it for me. They never have the same feel the originals did. I'm not just talking about nostalgia factor, I just mean turning a 2d game in to 3d. Ninja Gaiden is a seriously bad ass game, for example, but they could change the heros name and nobody would make any connection to the originals. P.S. Man I played Bionic Commando so much as a kid, that game is so pimp. |

| There's another two gameplay type of trailers at the end of this long Gamespot video - you can skip right through it to the end, it's near the 62 minute mark, actually if you go right to the 60 minute point you can watch a new trailer for mass effect as well - along the character list series of videos they've been releasing. GameSpot Video: On the Spot - 10/18/07 is the link to launch the video, enjoy. From the looks of that original trailer and the last two trailers at the end of the video I linked, I really like the direction of the game. I don't think keeping the game 2D would have helped it become a success, some purists might want it that way but I believe it's had a great transition so far from what I've seen. And because I failed at first, I managed to embed the video rather than having to link it offsite, but for some reason it still doesn't seem to work, oh well ;P The link works anyway |
