| Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines I realize this game came out 3 years ago, but there is no thread on this OMG UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME game. I've picked it up recently because I had a conversation about the downfall of adventure type games in the last, oh 10 years? And this was recommended as something close enough to adventure while also being an extremly good game. This game has probably the most hilarious dialogue ever, plus a truckload of cultural references. My first laugh? A computer store named "Megahurtz" The game also is damn intense on the whole storyline as well and the spellcasting is unbelievably awesome, at least as a Tremere (Wizard Vampire?). They have mind control, but better! Not only does the target fight for you for a while, it will die of cardiac arrest instead of turning back on you! And unlike D&D games, the KILL spells actually KILL people. Remember the Blade Trinity blood explosion thing Blade uses at the end? It's in the game too! If you're looking for decent horror-adventure, you should give this a try. Should be in the bargain bin by now. Oh, it's also by far the most violent and disturbing game I've ever played. Spoiler Alert, click show to read: |

| The AI is absolutely horrid. My roommate played through it and you can just get all the NPC's that are trying to kill you trapped by a stationary box in front of you and then melee em to death. Bugs aside, it wasn't a bad game, but with the bugs it was just a poor mans Deus Ex. |

| Yes, it was great, as far as RPGs go. It was waaaaaay buggy on release. It's since had a shitton of player-made patches. I suggest you get them if you haven't, the fanbase fixed nearly everything and enhanced the game. It's easily one of the best computer RPG games ever. It has a whole different dialog set if you play as the crazy vampires, too. (Malkavians.) |

![]() Melee is a valid form of combat, after all you are a vampire! Making your enemies vomit blood and then chop them apart with the Katana while they're busy puking their guts out = epic win Last edited by Quineloe; 10-13-2007 at 06:55 PM.. | |

| I normally hate gothic/vampire themed games but holy hell this game rocked after you patched the hell out of it first of course. It also pissed me the fuck off that the company that made this went under shortly after. |

+64 Internets | I bought the game a year or two ago because of a thread here and didn't get more than halfway because of a memory dump glitch. I think I lost my saved game when I tried to patch and never touched it since.

+58 Internets | Was an awesome game, but the bugs killed it for me. Never finished it because I got fed up one day and just never went back. The time I spent playing it though I really enjoyed for the most part |
