yeah, they sound a bit underwhelming TBH... but *shrug*... it's FREE!

there's also an option to turn off deus ex machi... err, I mean vitro chambers which (sort of) helps address the difficulty thing.

As a minor derail, I'm playing System Shock 2 on my PC and it's just as awesome as I remember it was.

I don't see much of a point in Machine Buster, never had a problem destroying them.

Achievement is nice though.

Installed this through Steam earlier today and just played it for about 5 hours. Fucking game is fun as all hell. I've a fairly high end system and it's still a little dodgy at 1900x1200 with everything on high, but if I kick it down to medium at 1680x1050, it's pretty smooth.

Piles of fun, and I'm only two "levels" into it (just got past the submarine bay part).

Just got this last week. Fun goddamn game.

It's not quite GOTY for me, but it's top-10. I love the dark storyline.

I'm actually playing through it again, going for the 'good' ending this time.

Oh, and don't try to take it Big Daddies with the wrench. It takes for-fucking-ever.

Oh, and with my 8800GT, 2GB RAM and 2g c2d, at 1680X1050, it FLIES. I think the first time through I actually saw noticable screen lag 4 or 5 times...pretty sure some of that was CPU/HDD lag, rather than video though.

fuck lol...this game scares me...the dark & intimidating atmosphere is simply amazing..

Really makes me nervous playing with 5.1 surround system..The sound effects and mobs coming outta nowhere...Makes me jump every time I come across something to kill...Really sweet
