+5 Internets | I stopped by a 24 hour Wal-Mart on my way home last night to buy Bioshock. After standing in Grizzly Adams' checkout line for 30 minutes while he fumbled around his register, I finally made it to the front. Swiped my card and... DECLINED. I checked my clip and found myself about $4 short. I weeped as I left the store empty handed. I checked my account today and I had enough money to buy every fucking copy of Bioshock they had, so I got declined for seemingly no reason. Burn in fucking fiery hell US Bank/Visa. Burn in fucking hell.

+5 Internets | I was actually using debit so that may have been what it was. He had to swipe it a few times and even scratched my card in the process so it may have just read wrong. Either way it was more of a "ohh hai I forgot to preorder this ownage and I happen to be right next to a 24 hour wal-mart." Most of the time I have all the important shit pre-ordered. I think I preordered Halo 3 on 360's launch day. Fuck it's been so long I don't even remember which store I did it at. I'm gonna have to call around to my normal spots and see which one I'm at.

Anyone having major technical difficulties? I'm getting stuttering where sometimes the game locks for 5-7 seconds and the sound keeps playing a very small loop over and over. I'm also getting occasional black squares, especially when I'm on stairs. It also causes really bad lag, dropping me to 3 FPS or lower. I installed the Nvidia beta drivers, rebooted, but having the same issue. Didn't see anyone mention it on the 2k forums. Anyone seen this? | |

| A few hours in to it so far. Used some PTO time to have all day to play. One thing that pisses me off is Retail and WalMart around here. WalMart told me "It's probably on the truck but we don't usually get games off it until 1pm or so." What the fuck good does that do me for a game that is released today not this afternoon! Then Best Buy, Circuity City, CompUSA, Gamestop, the entire mall doesn't open until 10am. I swear when I worked retail my ass was there before 9am to open the doors at 9. Anwways, so far the full game is a lot more fun than the demo to me. Actually being able to progress with you power and such. Plus all the other enhancements that you find along the way. The story really hasn't developed much, I'm hoping to see it pick up some. One thing is for sure: Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Playing through on Hard mode and also trying to save all the Little Sisters. Guess I'll see how far being nice gets me. |

| Exact opposite for me I think. I bought the 360 version. It was a mix between lower graphics and 'feeling'. Let me say this, I HATE fps games on consoles. I can't stand them at all. But Bioshock is eerily playable. I think the really nailed it with the controls, as it's smooth as hell and I don't have a hard time at all. Also, for some reason the atmosphere feels better sitting in a lazy boy + big screen. Last night when I played the PC demo, I just couldn't disconnect from reality enough because of the graphics issues whereas with the 360 demo (and now the full game) I can easily disconnect.

+7 Internets | 22mins more of downloading after I preloaded.. this is at 500k/s Weak.. seriously fucking weak. On another note I was in fact sick today and went for a half day... sadly it was the half in which my bioshock was activated. Also as another weak note before I left, I puporsely left steam open in the hopes that it would activate and download bioshock so that it would be ready when I got home. I was unpleasantly surprised ![]() |
