| I'd wager there are quite a few people like me that want to know if their PCs can handle it before shelling out money for either version. I won't purchase it until I can test it out myself since PC usability varies from computer to computer.

+107 Internets | Errr....how would not releasing the demo before actual final release, be dropping the ball? If you want the game, you'll buy it. If a demo actually holds you back, you'll wait or pirate it. I'm not really sure how the releasing and/or holding back of a demo would make any difference in what a customer does. |

+8 Internets | Every review I've read said that 12-15 hours would be normal if you rush through the game only doing the main plot. Question is - why would you want to do that? I'm looking forward to soaking up as much Rapture as I can get. |

| No, I agree. I mean, I probably spent a good hour on the demo at least, on my first play through. I guess I'd play through at 1/2 the speed that Chamsie did. Well, I'd hope so at least.

| That was the vibe I got from the videos I watched like 6 months back. It seemed like you were only going to encounter little girls (all with the same voice and model), Big Daddies (the big scary aqua-suit guys?) and a handful of other bad guys. I haven't played it yet (no Xbox) but still, I don't know how it could be getting such high scores if it still uses the formula of reusing model after model for what should be different, unique people...assuming those little girls are all different people, which I thought they were. |

| Damn, GOTY is going to be crazy this year. Bioshock, Mass effect, Mario Galaxy, Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, and a bunch of other amazing games that I can't recall at the moment are being released all in the next few months. I mean, holy fucking shit, you know? Anyway, I want to try the PC demo out. If it doesn't work well, I'll have to get a 360.

| 13 hours is not my experience at all. It took me about 21. I did listen to every audio diary and explore things that weren't necessary to explore + I saved every little sister. Quote:

Game of the year, my favourite video game ever, the most amazing plot & setting I've ever encountered in a video game and a truly deep and involving experience. Yes, I did download it because I have no patience, yes, I will buy it when it comes out over here because I want more experiences like this one. Ken Levine is my god and BioShock completely killed my hype for Halo :\ Last edited by Kildace; 08-19-2007 at 05:05 AM.. | ||

| I consider myself pretty good at games and didnt feel I was rushing at all. I played the demo 5 times looking around and exploring and this is a game I've been waiting for since it was announced. I'm at 40 out of 50 achievements my first time through. Were there some more things I could of done before beating the game? Yep, but that would of added 2 hours of tops and had no impact on the story or my game experience. Decided I would just do those things my second time through on hard mode. I'm guessing most of you will experience the same amount of play time as me. As for the replay value, I do want to play the game again. I'm going to harvest every little sister this time instead of saving them. I can be more efficient in my upgrades instead of buying rank 1 of everything to try them out. Knowing the story line, I can now listen to the audio clues and look at the enviroment in a different light. Quote:

+14 Internets | Just finished the game as well, took me about 20 hours or so and that was listening to all the Diarys, exploring all the rooms and different paths etc. Absolutely loved the game, Game of the Year... so far. Not the best game of all time, but definatly in the top 5. |
