Curious...why are you people buying Bioshock on steam when you *allegedly* can't unlock and play it until the street date anyway? Is there some obvious crack/hack/workaround that everyone knows about? I'm wondering because I've never really seen the point of buying games that way.

Convenience. There's no getting around the online activation and street date, I couldn't care less about having a box, and the only place nearby to buy it is Walmart (hell no) anyway.

Edit: Er, scratch the 12:01AM thing, it's apparently 4PM. (wtf?)

If you go to gamerankings.com and look at top ranking games, BioShock comes out #1 if you consider games with 5 or more reviews (default is 20).

It's the top rated game on Metacritic too, with a 99/100. Well, tied with Ocarina of time - but that was a piece of fanboy shit, so we'll forget about it.

EDIT: Actually, I'm thinking of the wrong Zelda, or am I? Shit, I can never keep those goddamn games straight because they're all the same fucking game. Meh, whatever, Bioshock forver, yo.

Ocarina of Time was the awesome one for N64. You are probly thinking of Wind Waker or Twilight Princess as the fanboy pieces of shit.
