For the record I don't think there's anything wrong with the way RE5 looks. But as soon as I saw it I couldn't help thinking there was some room full of Japanese game writers saying, "I want this game to be REALLY scary, and what's scarier than a black guy? A black zombie." It's funny, simply because of the stereotype that Asians are afraid of black people.

But it's still not nearly as funny as watching a bunch of sheltered nerdy teenagers/twenty-somethings call someone a "nigger racist who definitely needs to die" on an anonymous internet board.

Ya I know what you mean. When they made RE1 I thought, jeez asians are so scared of whites it's lol worthy. Oh wait, who's racist now?

If you've never heard that stereotype (the Asians are afraid of blacks), you need to get out of the house once in awhile. Besides, in my experience living in Asia, a lot of east Asians *are* afraid of white people – you don't need to play RE1 to see that. If you can convince my Korean girlfriend's grandmother that I am in fact not possessed by the devil because of my green eyes, I would be very appreciative.

I'm the kind to take humor out of racial stereotypes, which is why it's funny to me that the people on this board are so quick to throw around the word "nigger," especially *directly* proceeding the word "racist." I never really read anything on here that tackled the issue of racism, but I pretty much had 90% of you pegged as the type to not be so pathetic and ignorant of the issues and complications surrounding racism. And it's funny because I was wrong, it seems most everyone confirms my own stereotypes about white gaming nerds. I knew the second that I saw the phrase "reverse racism" appear, I was in for a laugh.

The only RE game I ever played was on the PC a long ass time ago (RE2 infact) and it was great. I guess the console counterparts might have had poor controls but the pc stuff was great.

This might actually be the key selling point for the ps3 in that I see very little chance for disallowing the keyboard/mice combo.

I'm not very racist (I believe /everyone/ is racist to some degree) as I grew up in diverse areas; moving every year or two.

If the racism gets too far out of hand to the point that there marches in the street then all capcom has to do is turn the main character black. Every single black american marching would stop and just go back home... after making sure to loot the white man's TV store. You know they have to set an example.

Hell, you can even have this black main character yell "Die Nigger!" and you still wont hear anything out of the black community.

Imagine if the protaganist in GTA: SA was white....that would of been awesome.
