| I will raise your bet, it will be a fucking blockbuster... but, fuck that, where is my new revolutionary Miyamoto game? MK Wii looked pretty shitty graphics wise too... Mario Galaxy looked fantastic though.

Which they probably will. It'll probably sell insanely well just in the states due to our obesety crisis.

+5 Internets | Are you telling me you are actually believing that PR bullshit? Did you see how fucking terrible that aiming looked in Metroid? Did you play Zelda at all? What about Wii Boxing? Have you played a previous Smash Brothers? There aren't enough buttons on the Wii remote, the calibration is terrible on anything bigger than a 27 inch TV and games that require you to shake the nun-chuck (Link's whirlwind and Wii Boxing) don't respond well at all. I don't have to see the PS4 controller and I'm still confident it will never be as good as a mouse. Do you think they said "wow wouldn't Mario Kart be fun with a wheel!?" My money is on them saying "man turning fucking sucks with the Wii remote. Lets pack in a wheel and hopefully they won't notice." I'm not trying to slam the Wii at all, I just don't want my gaming space to be filled to the brim with peripherals. It's bad enough with 4 360 controllers, 3 gamecube controllers, 2 Wii chuck combos, 2 guitars (and soon to be a drum) and the 2 PS2 controllers I have laying around. I don't look forward to wading through a pile of different controllers for each Wii game I own.

For the record she sucked at Metroid. It was plainly obvious for anyone who has played Metroid Prime and Echocs that she sucked. I wouldn't blast the control scheme just yet. As for Wii Fit, I been labled a nintendo fan boy almost as many times as you risky but I still don't see how Wii Fit will sell well let alone blockbuster. Wii Sports was literally FUN but Wii Fit? If the dancing thing gets a huge speed boost mabye ddr adopters will take it for a quick fix but seriously? If gyms and schools around the country start havnig Wii Fit programs and buying the thing in masse mabye then but really I just don't see it. It doesn't look FUN. Not like Wii Sports.. I could be wrong. I was wrong about how well the Wii would do though I knew it would do well.. But really.. what in Wii Fit made it look like a blockbuster?

+25 Internets | All things considered, the lapsus Reggie made is pretty telling. They did not expand the video game market: they diversified their activities. Today their focus is no longer video games. It's fitness applications with real time video monitoring and a "gamey" approach to it, it's a dress-up channel, etc. Not a single non-gamer who will buy a Wii for Wii Fit will then buy Metroid Prime. Not one. So they don't expand a market, they create a new one. One I certainly do not feel like I am a part of.

And 20% of the people that buy it will use it in a major way. | |

+29 Internets | I'd disagree, people who buy for Wii Fit are what, families? With kids, who will want to play Mario and SSBB and so on. I think they're just trying to move the device from "kiddy gaming machine" to "machine which play a variety of games that everyone in the house can find something for them on". |
