Kinda surprised that this hasn't been mentioned yet. The video is a pretty indepth look at Heavenly Sword, clocking in at 25~ish minutes.

The graphics look pretty damn impressive. Amazing sense of scale, great animation and what appears to be a pretty indepth story. Hopefully the game plays as well as it looks.

Mainly because no one is excited about PS3 is general. Shitty launch and all. But yeah the game looks cool it looks next gen it looks like exactly like what should of launched with the PS3.

I heard the demo was out and want to hear impressions

anyone? Just trying to gauge if I should finally shell out for a PS3 or not.

I played the demo and quite enjoyed it. The demo was quite short, but replaying it a lot was fun, as I killed guys in new and interesting ways.

The combat I say would be somewhere inbetween Ninja Gaiden (really deep and technical) and God of War (more button mashing friendly) You can button mash somewhat, but most of the time you get stomped for it, so its better to actually try to use the 3 different combat stances, counter moves, and combos (which are listed in the options menu.)

So in summary about the demo-

Good:
-Great graphics, very cinematic (slow mo juggle combos sometime when you activate it, able to control weapons and bodys you throw.)
-Great music (especially the title screen)
-Some of the best motion capture acting I've ever seen, greath cinematics.
-An intersting take on the regular third person action games with the three stance fighting styles. indepth move list it appears (though everything wasn't unlocked in the demo)

Bads:
-It is a third person action game, so if you didn't enjoy God of War or Ninja Gaiden it might seem like another clone.
-There was some screen tearing and framerate dropped a little bit in some parts. (I've learned that the demo is an older build though and optimation as taken care of most everything.)
-Counters and Supermoves seemed kind of overpowered (Landing a perfectly timed counter insta-kills people, and the super moves are really easy to build up orbs for, but usually kill everyone around. This might not be as much as a problem in the full game, as there are suppposed to be some really huge battles with lots of guys, but the demo level only had a small amount.)

I think I'll probably be buying it. I like the fighting in it, and its going to have some awesome cinematics, music, story etc.

I bought a ps3 2 weeks ago, I loved the demo. Really looking forward to the game.

Yea, my PS3 is on a moving van right now, but when it arrives I can't wait to try this demo, seems neat.

Demo was cool. Looked good. Framerate sucked. Tancred nailed it with God of War but less fun. Though the demo is only like 6 minutes long.

Played the demo. Fighting consisted of mostly waiting for an enemy to flash and pressing triangle. There is no jump button. Saw very little reason to switch stances instead of just pressing triangle when enemies swung at me. It was honestly really boring.

Pretty though.

Something else to keep in mind -- that demo on the PS Store was also an early build. It's had a lot of polishing and additional gameplay added since then.

Cor's linked video shows that it will not be just a GoW rip off.

I don't buy it. If you're going to put out a highly anticipated demo for a multi-million dollar title you better pick something that is interesting and representative of the final product. To do anything else is almost criminally retarded.

Finally got my PS3 hooked up after my move and downloaded this.

Nothing much to add to what's been said. I experienced quite a bit of tearing and slowdown, but the graphics were very pleasing on the eyes.

I'm not sure if THIS game is the one I will like playing but it was nice to see what's in the future for God of War type gaming. Combining God of War with sexy HD graphics is something I'm very much looking forward to.
