I'll end up with one at $500. Planning on getting a 50inch plasma soon so this w/ bluray movies is basically a bargain I'm thinking.

Ugh. You couldn't pay me to take a PS3 off your hands. All that overpriced hardware, and no more than 1 or 2 games I'd even consider playing. It's basically an overglorified Neo Geo. :P

I always wanted a neo geo, and yes i had the 3do or whatever it was called. The fractal cd player was the coolest thing ever back in the day. MMMM.... 3do + drugs.

At 500 I will still not buy one, at 400 I probably will. Jak and Daxter is money and I'm sure more good games will come. But not at 500.

Were there any catches with this? There was a rumor they were going to gut backwards compatibility like they did in Europe to save money along with a price drop.

There's just not enough games on any of the consoles to make me ever care about anything outside of my PC/PS2 atm. Maybe when GTAIV, MGS4 and FFXIII drop
