Tranformers: The Game

Got a chance to play through this yesterday and this morning and it wasn't bad for a movie game. It's a movie game though and it shows. It's short, if you don't count the 'collect 100 widgets to unlock a bonus picture gallery' parts and for the most part it's easy until it gets stupid in a couple places that take several retries, but all in all it was really fun. I mean you get to be a transformer and change forms at will, blowing shit up (everything is destructable and a potential weapon) and fighting other transformers. I'm not sure if it's in stores, someone sent it to me.. but it's certainly worth a rental if you have a console.

I don't think I've enjoyed a movie video game. Ever. Not even Spiderman 2 which is (I think?) considered the best movie -> video game ever :[

Is there a transformers demo on xbox live?

I liked Escape from Butcher Bay a lot. Except the acting was better than Chronicles of Riddick, and the storyline was more interesting.

Actually they could've not made the movie and just released the game and that would've been perfectly fine.

To be fair, a large part of the popularity of Goldeneye was because it was the first console FPS that didn't suck complete ass monkey balls. Compared to PC fps's at the time, it was dogshit.

Though the beauty of Goldeneye was it was such an awesome party game that you were too drunk to notice.

It was written as a trilogy. So a thrid movie should be coming but who knows.

And on the note of games they are remaking Escape from Butcher Bay for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Downloaded it, terrible. They tried to make a Grand Theft Auto clone but failed. Combat is clunky, game is short as all hell.

FPS bitching aside, it had a pretty innovative take on the SP campaign with some really awesome objective-based missions.

Also, Goldeneye didn't try to play like a PC shooter (think precision aiming) like modern console FPS games do. >=(

Didn't it remind you of GTA just a LITTLE? Plus there's only like 6 or 7 missions for each side. It's like, ok lets start playing...oh fight megatron...oh game over..cool.

Game had potential if they expanded it to more than 5-10 hours of gameplay.

I was talking about Goldeneye, as it was the topic of the reply I quoted. I didn't touch the Transformers demo/game

Escape from Butcher Bay fucking rocked. One of the most entertaining SP FPS games ever, too. Hand-to-hand combat was damn satisfying.
