Solar Imperium (Solar Realms Elite web-port)

For me, this game started it all, way back in the BBS days. This is the first time I've seen a pretty good web-port of the game. It needs more traffic and I think it's still in beta but so far it's pretty damn good.

I used to play Barren Realms Elite like crazy back in the good old days. Not sure if I remember a Solar Realms Elite, but I played way too many door games and BRE spin offs to remember them all.

Sometimes I wonder if this is how the old ham radio operators feel.

I'm not sure which one was first, BRE or SRE but I played SRE first and BRE later. They're very similar. I think SRE may have been first just by the fact that it's a bit simpler than BRE was. BRE seemed to have more in depth strategy when it came to alliance warfare and BBS vs BBS warfare where SRE was pretty strait forward, and no inter-BSS warfare.
