+6 Internets | One thing that wasn't mentioned earlier was the fact that the lead writer from the original is on the team. But what's more is that only about 1/4 of his script made it to the original game. So they're adding more scenes (but probably taking others out...). This is probably the closest thing we'll get to a FFIV-2. |

+107 Internets | From all I have read(in the 10 minutes or so of Google'ing), PSP is clearly more powerful than the PSX. Most of the comparisons I read were to the PS2, in fact. PSP - officially as powerful as PS2* : Guardian Unlimited Gamesblog On topic: DS doesn't look as good as either, but it has some great games. ![]() |

| If I remember right, the PS2 runs at around 333mhz, while the PSP runs at 222 mhz. The difference between the two isn't that huge, really. Take a look at Final Fanatsy VII: Crisis Core for evidence of that. ![]() ![]() ![]() God of War: Chains of Olympus and some other games are also good examples. In fact, I believe MGS2 and MGS3 were just announced for the PSP. So yeah, PSP is almost as powerful as the PS2. The DS is no where near as powerful, but alas, the DS has a lot of good games to make up for that.

| This should be a pretty long portable generation. The past ones were too, but that was only when Nintendo had a monopoly. A portable market with competition should ensure that regular 4/5 year generations occur, but the DS has become such a powerhouse that is practically is a monopoly again. Edit: What I'm trying to say is that the DS generation won't end before VI gets made, assuming regular dev cycles on these games. |

| I suppose it's too much to hope that there might be some kind of video port or goddamned anything so that the sweet games that are coming out for the DS can be played on something other than a DS? I like the thing but not enough to buy one considering how often I'd actually use a hand-held over my computer or a console, and I hate small screens. Surely game-makers must be aware of my demographic... |

| Don't think anyone on the side of Nintendo has anything like that. And I mean, the game looks like a PS1 game (respectively), would you really want to stretch it out beyond it's normal res? I'm personally fine with playing it on the DS. Especially since my DS lite has a better back light. ![]()

| Thread revival with new screens. The Magic Box - Final Fantasy IV Preview (Page 1 of 3) Haha, the CG model of Kain makes him look like the masked villains from any Gundam cartoon. |
