Cue Simpsons episode where everyone wants to play guitar.

Fucking awesome. It has online play, Lead/Bass/Drums/Singer.

Generic lead guitar, secluded shithead bass, shady flakey drummer, pretentious lead singer.

AWESOME. I'm willing to drop whatever $$ I need for this.

Edit: LOL obligatory NeoGAF link Harmonix's 'Rock Band' announced - 4 instrument controllers, online (360/PS3) - NeoGAF

I hope that it ends up coming out for both PS3 and 360. At the rate Sony keeps losing game title exclusives etc, I hope this game can make it to PS3. Since I only have a PS3 atm, I think I finally found a game that would make me purchase a 360.

It just sounds way too elaborate and expensive. This is MTV wanting to try and trump Guitar Hero and I don't see it working. I mean, what, are you going to have to buy the accessories separately at like, 50 bucks a piece? Gimme a break.

It's sounds awesomely elaborate and I'm willing to shell out $300 for the package. Bring it on.

I hope you can have one person do both vocals and an instrument.

This was what was originally planned for GH2, so hopefully it works out this time.

How does the 'vocal' end of things work? Aren't there some singing rhythm games? How do they interpret voice?

I *believe* Harmonix was the dev responsible for Karaoke Revolution. AFAIK, the game didn't recognize words being spoke so much as the music your voice made.

Edit: More people need to reply to this post, because I haven't been so excited for a game I think ever.

I'm not sure if I want to invest into GH 360 right now. Perhaps when I start getting summer paychecks...

However, I will drop the cash the instant a song that I *really* like shows up as DLC.

Really? Shit.

I was expecting to just pop into Best Buy tomorrow and grab one off the shelf. I guess I wasn't the only one with the idea to pass on the Sony version since all of their exclusives make their way to XBox anyway.

I got the reserve for GH2 tomorrow, but a 2nd guitar is going to be a PITA to get.

I'm thinking I'ma head to the super walmart now and see if I can grab one there, but we'll see. I figured it wouldn't be a problem, but Gamestop said they were out when I went in to pick up my Armored Core so =\
