Dead Rising platinum rumored to have online co-oP!

Gaming Bits - Dead Rising Rumored To Go Platinum With Online Co-Op

I just jizzed in my pants at the thought of this. Dead Rising is still the best 360 game and this is all it's missing. let the hype train get going.

The best? WTF are you smoking?

Online co-op sounds sweet though, but not enough to make me buy it, unless they add a "save anywhere" feature and allow me to turn off the walkie talkie.

I still feel it's the best. Gears was a great game but severely lacking in the online department. I've beaten DR like 40 times now and Gears is collecting dust because the online is just so meh. It's just by opinion, didn't mean to offend anyone. Co-Op for DR would be amazing. Nothing beats mindless zombie slaughter. The only thing is, I'd want to co-op pointlessly. Just go around slaughtering zombies. Maybe even do a 30 minute competition to see who can kill more zombies in 30 minutes or something. Or 15 even.

Just one of my many ideas that I think could work. I just don't wanna see zombie play or something fucking retarded like that.

maybe it's just me, but I don't really see how co-op in Dead Rising would be all that fun. It would probably make getting certain achievements easier... but I've already got 880/1000 so meh -_-

EGM's April issues usually have a few "April Fools" rumors...

Possibly like this one.

Capcom won't fix the text blurriness for Standard Resolution (which makes text basically unreadable) but they will charge you 20 bucks for co op? Sorry, I think this is a joke.

Would be sweet tho.

I loved this game but I feel like it could have been sooo much better. The lack of save points is lame, as well as the text. The worst is that you can't save more then 1 game, so if you accidentally save and you are like 30 seconds from losing a mission, your entire save game is fucked, and you can't choose another one. That happened to me like 8 hours in and I quit the game for months, and started over later.

All they need to do is take this game, let you roam free and without boundaries, and make weapons stay. It's so gay that I can't chainsaw for more then like 10 seconds and I can't load up on the sweet weapons. I used to find myself just sitting in the hardware store and raping everything in sight and just going back for weapons over and over.

There's that one bug where you can skip the story line at the beginning, and just play and do whatever you want until the chopper arrives. I liked doing that a lot.

You can triple book the small chainsaw off Adam for almost unlimited usage (2187 kills I think), good for days you just want to slay zombies for hours.

And what was wrong with the text? I heard some people mention this a while back and I never saw a problem playing through, been too lazy to google it!

On regular (non-high def) the text is basically impossible to read. I know I couldn't read a shred of it.

The text gets smashed if you use a standard definition TV, basically makes it really hard / impossible to read depending on the TV. One work around for some people is to set your TV to widescreen in the 360 setup menus (far right, purple blade iirc). It may stretch some of the text to a readable level. There is also a script for the entire game at GameFAQs. Most of the time, you can read the scroll to see where to go (wonderland, al fresca, etc) even if you can't read the flavor text, so thats good enough.

That bug is worthless because A> the first mission with Brad has an unlimited timer (unless you MUST get through the food court that is) B> you can simply continue playing after you fail a main story line mission.

Anyway, without weapon durability the game would be even easier than it is now. My only complaint is the crappy escort AI and the lateness that you get the mind control book. That's something that would of been helpful like, 2 days ago

Oh wow, that seems like a pretty significant oversight. That does explain why I never noticed it.
