I didn't really look through the thread, but I had a question. I'm looking at the Bonus disc that comes with the preorder at Gamestop.com, and it looks like the bonus disc that comes with the limited edition. Same thing, isn't it?

Yeah, that's the exact same disc that you get for pre-ordering the regular one.

The Limited Edition bonus stuff is the:

# Galactic Codex Essentials- A 36 page guide to the Mass Effect universe, including a Citadel timeline, guide to all non-human races, biotics and the key locations in the Perseus arm of the galaxy!
# Mass Effect Art Book- A 36 page collection of Bioware's concept art!

So, for once I'm not buying the Limited Edition.

9.99 for shipping + 8.56 or something for tax (I don't pay tax when I go to the local store, because I still have access to an Oregon ID). While I'd gladly pay an extra 10 bucks for the art book and codex, I'm not paying an extra 29 for it.

It's really gay that they're not selling it in the stores. Especially when it's a month that I have 500 different things to pay for and order. Bah. I guess I wouldn't care if it was a slow month.

Check out amazon.com. I did their amazon prime thing (make sure to disable automatic sign up after free trial month) and got free 2 day shipping on it.

I'm pretty anal about overnight shipping - I needs my Mass Effect on release day. And Amazon taxes me as well.

Shame you can't use the 10% off code on it.

No limited edition for me, either. I abuse a friend of mine who works as a manager at gamestop for discounts on stuff, and no in store release means no limited edition buy for me.

Wait, that's the whole thing? How incredibly weak - I expected much more... that's a threat to the ratings? No nudity, no "interaction" ... just a hand and the faces closing in?

Boo, didn't live up to the hype. Although the game looks good

That "love" scene was awful. It didn't even look remotely sensual.

The mouth movements are fucking fantastic though. Just wish eyes were done better, and that goes across the board. It's funny, the closer you get to replicating human movement, the more apparent and repulsive some flaws can be.

Not that I know for sure, but it seems like that scene is the changed version for US release or something. Because it was supposed to contain some kind of nudity (there wasn't any in there unless I'm blind), and faces disappearing off screen and a hand isn't graphic at all. Not that it really matters away, not like I need to get my alien fetish freak on, but lame that we're so ANTI-Nude in the US, meh.

Anytime you make a "perfect symmetry" human face (ie left side exactly like the right side) it looks weird... I wonder why games can't copy Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Say what you want about the storyline (although I didn't think it was that bad), they made some amazingly animated models.

Probably some better pictures out there, but this one works.

I think they recorded an actual person doing it, but I could never figure out who she was

^^^ now a lesbian scene involving her would make an AO rating so worth it...

Black people, blonde hair - it just does not work. Call me racist if you must, but I will stand behind that statement till the day I die.

Supposedly there's some boob in the game somewhere from what the ratings listing said.
