I'm really digging this game, not that far in though, only up to the Hot Labs in Peak 15.

Also MS claims they've sold a million units so go bioware!!

So, finished it. Awesome game.

I found throw much more useful than lift tho, since not only disables them for you to turkey shoot at leisure but also does damage. Additionally, it's easier to hit them while they on the ground than if they are flying around.

I kinda found side-questing boring, mostly because the planets are barren deserts. It's a shame since I enjoyed the action and had to eat mako runs to get to the baddies. Apparently they had planned a random planet generator thingy to spice things up since it'd allow you to land and have random-generated content in every planet. It had to be scrapped due to time constrains. You bet it'll be in for ME2 tho...

Finally, I'm anxious for the DLC. They've already stated it'll be mostly exploring side stories and not about the major history arc, but it's fine by me. Personally, I'd like to see the Quarian Flotilla.

Seriously? That kicks ass! I had heard they sold < 200k the first week, so I was kind of worried.

Good game, I enjoyed it but it feels like they cut alot out. I found it funny that the looping intro that occurs when you leave the xbox running never happens.

Hah, yeah, I noticed that one.

My only beef with the game is I wish the main campaign missions were longer =/ They are so much better than side missions, obviously, but I sit there looking at virmire and I'm like, I don't want to do it yet because that means its almost over =P

I just beat Mass effect. Its a great game. I was disappointed with the massive amount of barren planets. I snagged Tactician without trying for it, Tali's achivement and completionist at the end of the game. Missed wrex's, oops! At least I had hot alien lesbian sex.

It was a very satisfying game. I Loved being a soldier and just blowing shit up.

Is it impossible to get completionist with
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Ashley/Kaiden as your two? I was hoping to try an all human game but obviously one of them has to die.

You can get the achievement before hitting Vimire if you do the other 2 mission planets and a bunch of sidequests. I got the achievement for Ashley in my last game, then killed her. Used and thrown away~

Kaidan is useless trash tbh. I also tried the all human thing, but kaidan pulled an epic impersonation of 'dead again dom' throughout the whole game. I replaced him with Garrus, and regreted not going with Garrus from the start.

I've played for about 15 hours, really liking the game. There's little to no challenge, but I still like it.

Someone mentioned easy games...ALL games are easy now compared to the NES / SNES era.

Everyone can win a game now.

In the Nintendo days, there were games maybe only a couple of your friends had beat, or no one did. The days of beating the shit out of your controllers.

Veteran isn't really that difficult. Insane is quite a bit better though and I would not call it easy.

Really depends on class and group composition I think. I'm on insane and I'm having a bit of a problem pushing myself to finish it (I like it, but I have other games to play so it's like, more mass effect or something new, I'll get back to it but right now I'm playing around with other stuff). The reason I have the problem is because there is 0 challenge. I can only die if I don't pay attention at all and just run around doing nothing. I can literally run into a room full of enemies and they don't have a chance in hell of killing me. I don't have to use any abilities, I can just gun them down.

Try starting a new game on hardcore/insane. The first 20 levels or so are rediculously hard.

What do the weapon achievements do? Let you make a new class and select what weapon specializations they can chose? The guides are really vague if it's just some random "gratz" or if it's a real useful achievement that lets you customized a character later on after getting them.

This character I am destroying insane with is the character I started on hardcore and I agree. It's just...night and day.

Every achievement is just a "random grats" and a pat on the back. Achievements are a meta-game that, as far as I know, do not affect the actual gameplay in anyway, in any game. I'd like to be corrected on that, but I'm fairly certain that's the case. Just to boost your profile score.
