Everything. As far as I can tell. I landed on every possible planet you could, I did every side mission for each of the characters, except Kaiden, if he had one. He reminded me too much of Carth so I just told him to fuck off. Vimire's choice was pretty easy~ Going to try to get Ashley and Tali done on this second run through. Just going to use them exclusively.

Probably 90% through the game right now. Damn, this game is so awesome. Definately my favorite game I've played in, oh say the last 5 years. It's amazing how detailed they got with the story and other little visual aspects of the game.

One example that made me go 'cool!', was when I went to the Sol System (our solar system) and landed on Earth's Moon for that one mission against the renegade AI. Anyway, I wanted to see how Earth looked. I couldn't really see any details with just the regular zoom of my pistol. So I took out my sniper rifle, zoomed in and saw Earth in all it's glory. All the continents were merged together. I guess, in future earth, the tectonic plates did what we predicted them to do.

My girlfriend bought me the game a few days ago and I just started playing. Does it matter who's on my team... in the beginning?

I just got Tali and I dumped most of her points into electronics and decryption. Garrus and Kaiden I put first aid into. Didn't know what to do with Wrex, so I spent most on the battlemaster rank.

I was pleasantly surprised last night by some ammo I picked up. I forget the name, but it has like 500% damage bonus with some blast radius damage, but 500% heat increase so basically whatever you toss it in just turns into an absolute cannon that overheats every shot. I like the tradeoff though, you end up playing slightly differently because of it. Its little things like this which I think make a game like this so refreshing in the RPG genre.

I picked Vanguard, I'm pleased with it really. I honestly don't see any really reason why to take Soldier. I've never found a Heavy armor thats definitively better than most Medium or even some Light Armor, no techs, no biotics, so basically its just being able to use all weapon types (which I don't find that useful due to weapon swap time, I'm confident one of the biotic classes with just a Pistol is completely sufficient for a firearm) and more hp, which really with Barrier + Adrenaline Burst + Shock Trooper makes that extra hp really, really pointless. Unless as a first character and you want to get all the weapon achievements without the other weapons sucking ass, and with the achievements unlocking Soldier becomes even less useful.

I wanted initially to do Sentinel so I'll probably do that on my second playthrough.

Hah, I put that ammo on all my allies..but didn't use it myself. I found it didn't do enough damage to kill stuff, so it was overall worse for me to use. 3 shots with incinerate on my pistol killed stuff, one shot with that would do like 75%..but the next shot would overheat meaning if any more than 1 mob and they weren't in the blast radius, it was not very good =P

You're talking about explosive rounds, and they don't provide 500% damage. It's like

+24% dmg (depending on ranking)
+500% WEAPON FORCE
+500% Heat Generation


and then small splash radius for damage, 410cm.

Oh and Celebrindal, no it doesn't really matter who is in your team. It's totally up to who you think complements your character best. Of course you miss out on individual NPC comments to certain situations, but that's about it. If you're looking to unlock the ally achievements though, you have to do 75% of all quests with the same characters in your squad to unlock them. So just keep that in mind.

Just spend points to cover your bases and choose your party based on what your class is. All the tech skills are great, maybe AI hacking being the least useful but still good.

I definitely took a slightly mish mash approach with my party, I use Tali and Wrex most of the time and due to the achievements I will probably keep using them, but I would probably use Garrus over Tali now that I've played the game a while, and Liara over Wrex. As far as point spending it just seems bad practice to try to spread around too much, like you really don't need to max out more than 2 weapon types, debateably 1. There doesn't seem to be a ton of point in maxing out Throw, or Lift, and even the tech skills just get to the third tier of useability rather than maxing them completely. Maxing Spectre training and specialist classes is worth it though at least in my opinion, and I really like Assault Training as I really like Adrenaline Burst.
