+44 Internets | When you get to some planets, you have the chance to "survey" and find the occasional item... I've found some rare material, but is this used for something? (chances are yes, but I didn't seem to get exp, an item or an update) Some surveying to be done on planets as well, at least those give exp - but again not sure if there's something beyond that? Also a note to self: don't explore the galaxy farthest away from where you should go, chances are the enemies in there are tough as hell. Getting swarmed by 10 geth = not fun ![]() |

+2 Internets | You get money and XP for finding minerals on planets. Speaking of money I have 750k and I am only level 24 every time I go to a vendor their gear for sale is inferior to what I am ready wearing. Hopefully this changes later on in the game otherwise money is pretty pointless. ![]() Last edited by Menion; 11-25-2007 at 03:02 PM.. |

| i actually got a 360 because of tihs game, and so far the biggest issue im having is the goddamn controller. anyone have any good basic strat for encounters, even beginning ones, that someone with zero hand-eye coordination/aiming skills can use? so far most of the time i end up winning battles is by spamming medi gel while constantly turning around in circles attempting to aim at anything, and letting my teammates do the killing. |

| Uhh I think you can change the settings to get aim help by lowering the difficulty or something like that. That or go buy Halo or something, play that for a couple of days to get used to playing an FPS. This plays like pretty much any console FPS I've played in the last few years. |

Money cap is 9,999,999... but money is basically worthless in this game. Just try and hit 1 mil for the achievement and pimp out weapons early on. After that, you can pretty much gel everything you find that isn't an upgrade... not that gel is useful either :\ BTW, I think there's a bug or something with certain system explorations. Sometimes the XP stuff will update for minerals and shit and sometimes it won't. I dunno if I'm getting XP or not but meh. You basically get nothing but XP/credits from doing it anyway.

| I use Ashley and Lelia pretty much exclusively. Unfortunately that leaves me with nobody with decryption skills. Luckily I have pretty awesome gear. Selling weapon upgrades makes you so much money. Do you get anything worthwhile from crates and computer consoles that need to be decrypted? |

| Yeah, should of stipulated. For the most part vendors carry the exact same stuff that drops, with the exception of the master specter weapons that were just far superior than anything that dropped for me up to level 50. Not sure post 50. But my initial play through all armor that dropped was crap. The Normandy vendor sold me colossus IX (I think, too lazy to check) heavy human armor that was so much better than the crap I had on it was sad. |

| Not quite true - the X level Spectre items are better than anything else. The VII's get outclassed but once you can buy the X's there's nothing better. Sadly Colossus armor is refusing to show up for me, only have Tali's so far. I do have Predator armor for Shepard/Ashely/Wrex/Garrus though which is the second best. | Is the specter X stuff post 50? And I just read a tip to get your team outfitted in colossus gear. Save in front of the normandy vendor and check his stock, then just reload. Loading the game resets his inventory instead of having to warp to another location. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done. |
