| Just beat it on Hardcore on my second playthrough, this time getting the Completionist achievement and doing all the side quests (took 24 hours played). Still a kinda short game for it's type, but going through on my third playthrough on Insane difficulty (which is, well, insanely hard hehe), and there's not many games that I have enough fun to play through back to back like that. |

| So, how's the story stack up in regards to linearity? I felt KOTOR 1 and 2 were extremely linear, but that they tried to make it feel non-linear by letting you go to X planet OR Y planet, except in the end it didn't matter where you went, as the storyline characters would show up when they needed to. Can the same be said for Mass Effect? |

![]() I beat it last night but I plan to play through it again to get some more medals. I dont know about the other classes but Soldier seems a bit over powered. I just ripped through the game and with shield boost and stuff I never felt like I was really in danger. I might try one of the others just for more of a challenge. | |

Anyway, I'm insanely overpowered for normal. Doing all the side quests has made this game cruise-control easy mode. Engineering is a lot more powerful than most people seem to think. I can insta-destroy shields in a giant room of guys, stun a giant room of guys for 3 seconds (and stop tech/bio powers), stop enemies from shooting (also AoE), and "mind control" robots which is a lot more useful than it sounds. Pistol is also pretty damn powerful and I haven't even maxed it's mastery yet. BTW Sean, how the hell did you get the soldier and 75% completition achievements? I've done every side quest I could find, and have completed the first 3 "worlds" after you leave the citadel... but I don't have it yet :| It looks like you got it before Virmire too which is my last story planet... I just went all over the citadel looking for more side quests and nada.... meh.

| You need approximately 40ish sidequests to get the Completionist achievement. (I've heard someone say they got it at 39, I didn't check mine.) You probably know this already, but a lot of the sidequests get radioed in as you arrive in various starsystems. (Also, run your cursor over each astroid belt, you'll sometimes find asteroids/quest spots that way.) I too did get Completionist before Virmire. |

I've literally been to every system (except Virmire), explored every planet, and done the one mission per solar system. Meh... I'm sure it'll come up some time just odd.

I got the 75% complete achievement AFTER Virmire... in fact I got the achievement (and the soldier achievement for Ashley) Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Overall... it was alright. Didn't touch KOTOR IMO but still a decent RPG/3rd person shooter. Too many of the side quests seemed pointless/tacked on... at least I'll know what to skip on future playthroughs. As far as the ending goes: Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
