Finished it last night, completed every side quest but 3 collections where I needed maybe 1 or 2 items on each and couldn't be bothered finishing....ended up level 49 and total played time was 24:58

The game in terms of plot, writing, VO's is just exceptional and I'm close to putting it ahead of BioShock but I just can't do that even if it were true

Opinions and rants on a few little things below...used fake names for characters from the game but as pointed out by Blank it could still be an issue for some.

I'd consider spoiler tagging that. I dunno how big of a deal that is (if any), but better safe than sorry?

Yeah, it's the only way to get to level 60 really. You keep your level and gear, have to reassign your skill points though and didn't check my cash but think it stays too.

So, for those with the game: how bad are the v-sync and framerate hiccups? Minor stuff or we talking about SOTC level of choppiness?

Framerate choppiness isn't horrible. It's the loading chunkiness and texture popping that's far worse.

Played some today; the tearing isn't horrible. The texture pop is well, same as Gears really, same engine at heart. It doesn't distract from the gameplay I find. I wish you could set aside drive space per game to cache the game resources on the HDD.

The game itself is great so far. Made it to the citadel, and tooling about and exploring.

I was sitting at something like 5.5 hours played before I left the Citadel for the first time. I can't get that last keeper! wtf =x

For anybody familiar with the New Game+ for this game.. Does it require you keep the same character class? for instance i wanted to play as either a vanguard or a infiltrator next.. make it feel like im a Ghost from Starcraft or something more interesting than what i've chosen.. being a soldier.

If not i guess i may have to reroll again.

It requires you using the same char. When you click the new game button it asks if you want to start with a new id or an existing one

Been playing for a bit now, I've experienced zero choppiness and v-sync hiccups. Smooth as silk so far.

Will I enjoy this game if I didn't really like Star Wars Kotor? I prefer JRPGs, so I'm not sure if I should pick this one up or not.

From what I have seen so far, it is a great game that you should rent at the very least. That said, it could essentially be "KOTOR III" in terms of gameplay.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read: I got a bugged acheivment by not being given the krogan ally one even though I used him for every mission once I got him so now I have to play it at least 3 more times (rather than only two more) to get all the acheivements but I don't see that as being a hardship since the moment I finished it I started a new game on hardcore mode using my level 49. The main complaints I have with the game were that the lack of handholding can lead to situations where you go for a mission where you are totally underleveld and have no way of knowing that until you get your ass handed to you a few times...that and there being no way to skip through cut-scenes that aren't dialog, eg the fight with Councillor Troy, if you lose that and need to re-do it you have to sit through 20 seconds or so of a cut-scene showing the mobs coming out that has no bearing on the game but can't be avoided..just way annoying. Go up the stairs to where you usually talk to the council but don't go on the walkway, instead turn right and go look over at the building there...you should find him if that's the one you are missing, and I am assuming it is cause it took me ages to find him too
