So the long awaited return of EA spots NHL series is nearly upon us. Not only is this game frighteningly exciting its coming up on a hockey season thats looking to be one of the best we've seen in a while.

I can't wait to check out how the defensive skill stick works; I've had enough of watching people score on me in 08 knowing I could have stopped it but being completely unable to do anything about it. Lets hope its as well done as the offensive skill stick.

The EA sports league looks like its going to be amazing too, they're claiming its similar to an MMO where you've got to simply build up your name from AHL to NHL super star. I love the fact you can create a team 'guild' with your buddies and have your very own gimped out amateur AHL line and try and make the big leagues. Gonna be a blast I hope.

I heard the demo came out last week for ps3, any early thoughts from people who've tried it? I understand its only going to come out next week for Xbox 360 players...only a week before release. I hope its as good as it sounds
