PS1 emulator

has a superior ps1 emulator been created since PSX? i had an urge to play some ps1 games on my computer, but the version i have is kind of obnoxious to configure. has a more advanced one been created or updated since then?

By PSX do you mean ePSXe? I found that one to be pretty capable and the plugin system worked really well.

Download Delta, it's a frontend that allows to save configuration for different games. You still have to configure each game individualy, but only once. Saves a lot of annoyance since a lot of games need specific configuration.
Be aware that you still need ePSXe and all the plugins to run delta.

I'll post a link if I can find it.

Edit : Here you go
The Delta Project :: An ePSXe Autorunner/Frontend

You should also check ngemu for the latest plugins, pete's OpenGL 2 plugins are quite good.

No, unless you want to use an emulator where you can't adjust screen size and doesn't play more then 50% of games. Delta is a good call though.

I think i was using epsxe, but I'm not sure. having to reconfigure over and over was killing.

are there more up to date PSX bios's? i updated from 1.6 to 1.10 but was using the same old bios and I'm not sure if that's an issue.

thanks for the info.

I use the ePSXecutor front-end for ePSXe. It lets you set individual configs for each game and it saves them so you only have to setup each game one time.

Not sure how up to date these versions are, as I haven't fucked around with it in quite some time:

Welcome to the official ePSXe website
