| Armed Assault New game by the makers of Operation: Flashpoint. It's basically OFP2--better graphics, much larger landmass, ridiculous amount of weapons, vehicles, etc. Like OFP, it's also super-realistic to the point where even Rainbow Six looks like an arcade game by comparison. Only out in the UK as far as English release goes, but it's available from gogamer.com in the US. It's only protected with SecuROM, so of course it's available through other means too. I haven't tried it yet though, anyone else got it? I've heard a few horror stories about bugs and performance, but there's supposed to be another patch out in a week or two. I'm mostly curious about LAN co-op play over Hamachi and the single player campaign. Screenshots Last edited by Vorph : 02-19-2007 at 11:54 PM. |

+21 Internets | got it from The Peer Hub it is really freaking hard....like to the point of not being fun....multiplayer seems like it would rock though if you hardcore. |

Thank god there were cheat codes to allow more than one save per mission. I'm curious how the save functionality is in this one. Making a game challenging is one thing, but the original was incredibly frustrating if you only played as the makers intended. Still glad I finished the single player campaign, was a great sense of accomplishment.

| Dunno about the saves, but the missions are supposedly at least as hard as the original game's and there aren't any cheats because the 1.02 patch removed them. 1.05 is due out this week, I think I'm going to give it a try unless I end up liking Jade Empire enough to buy it. |

Leagues should be getting started shortly or at least when the North American version comes out. Worth a try if you like tactical shooters and not bunny hopping CS clones. ![]() Movie made with ingame footage. Oh and to demonstrate the extent of the engine's modding possibilities, heres something to go with C&C 3. Last edited by Valaden : 03-26-2007 at 03:31 PM.

| Bleah, between your description, reviews saying the single player campaign included is really short, and the fact that I can't try the game out (neither crack nor clone works without a valid cd key, you get seagulled) I guess I'll be skipping it. I have just about zero interest in multiplayer games beyond maybe playing co-op with a friend, and the only mod I ever found useful for OFP was the stuff to improve the graphics. Ah well... |

Oh and seagulls have nothing to do with the cd-key or anything, it just means you or the AI slot your in has already died. Some people switch slots when they die to respawn.

| Those cd-keys have been blacklisted in 1.05, including the ones from the keygen (unless you get absurdly lucky and generate a real key, not just one that passed a simple checksum or whatever validation they use). The seagull thing I'm talking about is for single player; it's part of Fade copy protection, just like they used in OFP. First you can't hit anything when you shoot, then the enemies never miss, and finally you turn into a seagull. |
