| Back in black. Appears that MS may be releasing a new version of the Xbox 360 codenamed Zephyr. It has a 120gig HD, HDMI interface and a it's black. MS hasn't confirmed it yet but alot of retailers has the SKU for it. The retail date is May 1st 2007 for $479.00. Link This rumor has been floating around for a while but with the SKU that some stores have it may be true. Just wish MS would of released this version a year ago.

| Why? Adding the HDMI port to the 360 would have cost MS very little, and if the 120gb HDD MS is putting in can be fit on 1 layer like a 20gb HDD, it should only cost them a few extra bucks to manufacture it. Personally I think this is a dumb move if it turns out to be true, and I just can't see it happening. Whenever people trash the PS3 it's always about the price. Doing this would essentially be saying buy our PS3-like priced console. Because honestly, who buys the core system anyway? It almost makes you want to feel sorry for the people who recently bought their 360. This shit really makes you devalue your decision in buying the thing. |

| I only find it devalued if you use your Xbox360 largely, or primarily, as a media platform (HD-DVD and want HDMI, you purchase media content online and need the space, etc.) As far as gaming goes, none of the features on the upgraded Xbox360 improve the gaming experience to any noticeable degree. |

+20 Internets | So, with a HD-DVD drive (would seem like a logical purchase, why else worry about HDMI?) it costs $679 - more than the PS3? That seems odd, especially since you'll be dependant on the HDDs for MS and can't just plug in a random external HDD with a couple hundred GBs. |

| heh, I bought a Premium system for $250 used a month ago and this doesn't make me regret it at all. I'd never have paid 200 more for a bigger HDD. $479 is pushing it, it should be retailed for $400. |
