Hey what's the deal with wii weather and news? Are they just not turned on yet or am I missing something?

not on yet. One is december, One is january. Most likely to take some of the stress off their updates.

Got Malakie's Mii which was sent directly- and a Mii named Paul showed up in the Parade area. It doesn't have a little pencil icon below the name, I wonder if it's a Mii that migrated through the WiiConnect24 thing.

Well if you don't know who he is you should probably kill him.

There needs to be a "Beat to death" option which turns the remote into a giant baseball bat.

Imo your Mii should learn skills and attacks from games you've played. Mine would totally Arrow-Bomb all of yours to death!

I added everyone above to my address book. I didn't notice that mingle setting at first but I have that turned on now. I've found it pretty easy to add new people. Using the Wii Mote for keyboard input is pretty fast. Not the same as a keyboard but a lot faster than using a classic controller.
