+17 Internets | Wii Sports - Unable to read disc Does anyone else have this problem? My Wii Sports disc is seemingly dead out of the box. My copies of Madden and Zelda work perfectly, and my Wii appears to be in perfect shape otherwise. It's kinda strange. |

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | Does the disc look alright? I haven't heard anything about this so it's best to contact Nintendo. I'm sure they'll sent you a replacement ASAP as they're usually good on that stuff, especially at a launch. I'll check IGN real quick and see if I can find anything on their wii boards. |

+5 Internets | I read one other person on the Penny Arcade forums had the same issue. As said, best thing to do would be to get ahold of Nintendo, though I'd imagine that won't be easy for the next few days. ![]() Do you know someone else who has a Wii? It'd be shame if you missed out on the fun that is Wii Sports for the next few weeks while you wait for a replacement. |

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | Won't be a few weeks. If you call them tonight/tomorrow, you should have it next day. They're overnighting boxes to people who had busted systems (a few reporting memory issues). Ironically, most of the problems people are having are idiots who didn't read the manual and did things wrong. But I know people are reporting problems with all their games getting disc read errors. So you're lucky it's only your wii sports. Mine is perfectly fine though (thankfully). |

| My Wii Sports did the exact same thing Sean. Right out of the box it gave me a disc read error each time I tried. As weird as it may seem though, this morning I tried cleaning it again and now it works and hasn't given me an error since.. man am I glad 'cause the game is a blast! |

+3 Internets | I actually haven't hooked my Wii up, or try any of my games yet, just the controllers. My cousin and I both picked up our Wiis today, and two of his friends came over. We legitimately played Wii Sports for a total of 6-7 hours, mostly Tennis. Whatever you have to do, get the disc replaced or cleaned or fixed. Wii Sports, even as just a bunch of little games, is amazing. EDIT: Well, hooked up my Wii, everything was going great, except the console won't accept any Wii discs, just whirs and clicks and doesn't suck it in or anything. I'm royally pissed now. | I'm having a problem getting my Wii to connect to my wireless router. Have all the settings right as ar as I can tell and it detects the network, just won't connect to it. How long are the batteries lasting in peoples Wiimotes? I was playing Wii Sports and after exiting the game to go back to the Wii menu my controller stopped responding and seems to not want to respond at all. I didn't have any more batteries at home to swap in and try out to see if that was the problem though. |
