| I'm really glad the system is successfull at least. Hopefully this will push devs to make games with a little more emphasis on gameplay rather than graphics or just making run of the mill games. Not saying I don't like nice visuals. Just saying that games lately seem to be clones of older games. : /

I say this to some guys at work, and their primary response is always something along the lines of "The games/systems are cool because their graphics kick ass." Is it just me, or does it seem newer console players emphasize graphics over gameplay?

First of all I was offended he would even write off a game solely based on graphics. Secondly, I wanted to tell him how PS2 pales in comparison to the Gamecube. Argh. Edit: Wii sold out all around my hometown over Thanksgiving break (NW Indiana). I was trying to score one for my little cousin.

| I loved the original Nintendo...loved the Super Nintendo...hated the N64 and Gamecube. Nintendo has won me back with the Wii and I haven't even bought it yet. I have no problem waiting until a time when I can walk in and not worry about whether they're in stock or not, but I haven't been this anxious for a console system since the PS2.

Take a look at the top 10 games across all platforms on Gamerankings.com (a website that averages out rankings of all major review websites). 5 out of the top 10 are Nintendo.

I hate that place, yet love it. It makes me feel better about myself knowing that there are people out there who are dumber than myself.

| Question to the hardcore Zelda People: I dunno when I'm going to finish Twilight Princess, but seeing that Wii is backwards compatible with GC games, are Ocarina of Time and Windwalker worth picking up? I know they got awesome reviews, but did they age well? |

| BUBBLES THE MONKEY!!! | windwalker was just like any other zelda except it was cel shaded. I recall a few MGS type parts (sneaking), but those were in OOT too. It's still a fairly decent game. Definitely pick up the metroids though. I'd even recommend picking up mario kart. |

| Looking at my Gamecube collection, here the games I would recommend picking up for anyone looking for good Gamecube games: Legend Of Zelda Collectors Edition (Zelda 1, 2, and both N64 games on one disc) Windwaker Killer 7 Viewtiful Joe Metriod Prime 1 & 2 Resident Evil 4 Pikmin 2 Mario Sunshine if you like Mario 64 Ikuruga Minus Ikuruga, you can prolly pick up the rest for under 100 bucks. Looking at around 150 with Ikuruga depending on the auction you bid on. |

| Wow, I just did an ebay search on that Zelda set, 35 bucks is kinda steep. Still worth it if you never played the 2 N64 games though. I bought it back in the day for like 15 bucks, prolly went up thanks to the Wii. Sunshine is definitely not the best mario in the world, but we are talking 5-10 bucks now if you look around. Not like your spending 50 on a brand new game. If you want a good 3d platform game, I actually recommend Vexx over this. Its one of the most challenging and satisfying 3d platformers I've played. |
