Midnight Wii Launch It looks like there is noone left in Indiana doing a Midnight Wii launch.. Every Gamestop/Ebgames is doing it on open or an hour before open at Noon Sunday and All the Best Buys are doing it an hour before open at 9/8 AM. Looks like the only chance at an midnight Wii is a 24 Hour Walmart. On a side note If I don't happen to get one of the 20 that walmart has then atleast I will have 8 hours to find a place with a low line and jump in line for that mornings launch... sigh...

My Gamestop is still doing it. They said the only reason they wern't doing any midnight launches was because of the dangers involved in people mobbing others, and that's only a case with the PS3. I live in Arizona.

The dude at my Gamestop told me to come at like 11:30, he'll let people come in and pay for the rest of it and or ring them up and give them a card and then they go back outside. At Midnight he'll let people in by that order and you just grab it, no wait necessary. He's a pretty cool dude.

I am going to try and call around and find out if any will let me do this.. the problem is the few eb and gamestops i have talked to all said they only had just enough for preorders and no more ![]() And i believeing it would end up like the PS3 didn't buy a preorder. | |

To anyone in Seattle here's what I've found: The only 24-hour Wal-Mart near me (Auburn, 50min. drive) said they only had 25 Wii's (which surprised me), Northgate Target said they were getting 60 but they aren't doing a midnight launch. At 7a.m. they'll be handing out tickets to those in line and at 8 they will let you in to pickup your system. I'm heading to the Fred Meyer in Ballard which IS doing a midnight launch, but won't tell me/don't know how many units they are getting. I figure if I don't get one there for some reason I'll have time to hit Target at midnight and dig in for the night. If anyone else lives in the area shoot me a PM and we can collaborate. EDIT: This just in - 90 Wii's at Fred Meyer! Last edited by Zippygoose : 11-17-2006 at 01:05 PM.
