[Wii] Everybody Votes Channel

Nintendo released a new channel today on their shopping channel. Entitled "Everybody Votes" it's a free download where Wii owners can vote on various polls, predict the outcome of those polls, and suggest a poll topic (one submission per day). When a poll closes information about how people voted, where you are in terms of position (regionally and globally) and how various regions voted. To vote you first register a Mii (up to 6 per machine) and then drop them on your desired answer.

I'm not really sure how much it will be used or if it will serve much practical purpose, but it's an interesting new feature. I'd like to see what Nintendo does with it. Then again, I'd also like to see them finalize the browser and release a new Earthbound game.

Well the channel is pretty pointless, I'm happy they're experimenting finally with interactive chanells. It shows promise for the future for sure!

Mabye they are just throwing out random ideas to see what will stick?

After all who could have predicted how well the Pokemon series would do? Its a billion dollar industry now...

And the DS stylus is just a gimmick.. but its selling as if it tuirn water into gold...

The Wii is a gamecube with an interactive remote control yet we find it fun.

The next big thing most likely won't be anything we expect.. I am also interested in seeing where this goes.

Look at all the people that use the Mii generator as a game in its own right. I'm sure a lot of people will end up using this in a similar fashion.

It's a nice surprise at least, even if it isn't a particularly useful channel.
