| gamestop won't be able to fill their preorders for ps3 gamestop/ebgames for those that don't know http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=4934 apparently what they got for sale was less than their preorders...so if you preordered from them, hope you do not get a phonecall... side note there are AT LEAST 196 ps1 and ps2 titles that do not work on the ps3 - some don't play at all, most have no sound etc...sony says it'll get fixed in a patch eventually. | Alot of issues seem to be display/sound related so those should be easily patched and fixed. I'm not too worried about those problems at the moment, unless I am missing something. |

Shocker, they have done this how many times for console releases? I almost shocked they havn't gotten a lawsuit on their company simply because they lack the ability to do pre-orders on game systems without flaw. They need to take a page from the larger companies and kill off pre-orders, it will at least bring more customers into their store to buy random stuff.

+19 Internets | I agree that they should do away with pre-orders. Line up a day before the thing comes out and hand out tickets for the amount of systems you actually have, like Best Buy is doing. |

+15 Internets | Man I'm glad I didn't pre order. Gamestop/EB keeps fucking customers with pre orders and keep getting away with it because people keep coming back for me ass rape

+1 Internets | Is this a shortcoming of Sony or EBGames/GameStop? The article makes it sound like Sony ended up with fewer units than it initially inteded to deliver, but I understand that doesn't mean EBG/GS couldn't have taken more pre-orders than was reasonable/suggested, but there doesn't seem to be any definitive "who-dun'it". |

+53 Internets | Haha, my brother got a call today. They asked him if he'd be willing to wait on his pre-order until the second shipment, in exchange they offered him 30 dollar game credit. My brother says "No, I'll take my pre-order thanks." Why settle for +30 bucks when you can resell on ebay for +300? <3 |

I'm betting that number ends up being significantly lower than 370k though. Probably about 250k. They never said how many they cut, but a friend of mine had his cut and he was like, 6th in line. Assuming the employees take their systems, that's about 7-9 cut off each store (half of their pre-orders). That being said in my fairly long rant, I'm not an angry EBgames employee because I quit long ago. People just need to realize that this is all Sony's fault and FOR ONCE EB/GS did all they could to prevent this.
