| I am going to have to agree. This is Sony's fault, not EB games. I do NOT feel bad in the least for those that got cut from first pre-order. The problems I have with EB is that they offer pre-orders for these items that they cannot guarentee will be available when they say it will. So you end up pissing off the customer when it gets pushed back or you get too few delivered. EB also needs to try to find some solution to this damn scalping of pre-orders sales on Ebay if they insist on continuing with it. If electronics retailers took a firm stance with manufacturers in times like these and said "Hey, get your fucking shit together or we're done with you"... you "might" get their attention. Now we all know that scenario will never happen but, IMO, that is what needs to happen. Sony sucks major ass for hyping a system that they cannot/did not produce enough of. I blame Sony for not trying to take more action and working with Ebay in stopping this blatant inflation. If Sony had produced the number of systems they SHOULD have for the launch, you would not have as much of a problem with Ebay and other auction sites. If Ebay would stop/ban auctions like these, it would also be a deterrant. But hey, here's to wishful thinking and the end of my rant. |

+1 Internets | Not that any EB/Gamestop's gave them out, but Corporate gave us these little cards to give to pre-order customers basically explaining that pre-ordering the system does garauntee them a spot on the list, but doesn't garauntee them a system on launch day. It says something about how we were given a shipment number, but cannot control how many units a company actually ships out. |

| I don't think they should take pre-orders if they can't meet demand. What they should do is allow line-ups the night before only (to reduce liability due to people camping out for 3 weeks etc.), hand out a limited number of lottery tickets (hence having to be in line), and then allow the drawing winners to purchase the available number of consoles. Also in a limited supply deal like this launch, priority should be given to actual gamers i.e. people who are actual past customers of that store. That would help reduce the number of ebayers, and would encourage people to support their neighborhood store. |

+17 Internets | The lottery system is bullshit and not the American way. First come, first serve motherfucker. On the other hand, those greedy capitalistic scum bags who buy systems just to sell them should be publically flogged. |

| I'd say that they should give some form of test to make sure they actually understand English as a crude form of weeding out a few, but I know a few people that would not get one, and they are American =( But on that note, hell, the guys in Japan were shouting instructions over a megaphone and most in line didn't understand a damn word... hai2u hint hint that there is a problem? |

+17 Internets | Still, it's hardly an issue. Around 200 games out of 16,000 have problems. And they're being fixed with firmware updates already - so the list is shrinking. Yes, Sony is evil and mean. |

| Eb and Gamestop specifically asked Sony and Nintendo for hard numbers of systems that they would receive at launch. They also explained to both companies that they didnt want the XBox 360 fiasco again. Sony and Nintendo both told EB/Gamestop that they would without a doubt be able to deliver "X" systems. Guess what? Sony fucked up, and Nintendo stayed true to their word. |

Now, the people I'm really laughing at is those that bought PS3 pre orders on ebay and now won't be getting their system. Safe to say they're up shits creek without a paddle. Serves them right for being lazy and spending $1500 on a fucking piece of paper. | |
