+2 Internets | I have a feeling it has to do with the hdri and the way they put that in (Didn't put that in?) or whatever. It's not working like it's supposed to, and I imagine water and terrain normals would be highly dependant on an hdri source for lighting. Just a guess, though, I haven't hardly touched the actual game. |

+2 Internets | Loving the story and gameplay, first game in a long while that I will actually buy. I am running a low end system by todays standards and getting 24 fps with most things on high but the water turned off. I am pretty sure most people with problems with it are the newer end systems ironically. |

| I've got a computer that was top of the line-ish early last year. Overclocked 3200+, 2 gig RAM, X800XL, and I'm not having any problems. Runs pretty damn smooth for me. I do have shadows turned off, but I turn off shadows in most games I play. I've always thought having them on was too much of a performance hit. |

To whoever mentioned HDR (and terrain normal mapping) there's an EnableHRDIIfAvailable setting (or something like that) in the ini files, but it doesn't seem to be live in the engine. For good reason probably, since plain specular BLOOM is causing serious FPS problems for SLI systems (lol). Shadows in this game are just phenomenally done. A great argument for a shadow-rich engine, especially high-res environmental shadows, although shadows are normally a 2nd-order experience, the game is pretty bland without them.

Second column has Texture Minification Filtering, Texture Magnification Filtering, Mip-map Filtering and Maximum Texture Anisotropy. Last column just has only Number of Lights per Object. Is that option something that only appears after patching the game? Speaking of which, I've been trying to patch the game but keep getting an error saying that the updater can not find the patch file /nwn2_pc_english_from095_to101.txt and then it tells me to go to a patch site that has no patch on it. What the hell are they doing? Last edited by Jadaki : 11-05-2006 at 09:33 AM.

| Hmm yeah, it must be after the patch then, the two checkboxes should be right below Number of Lights per Object. The whole patcher has proven to be a bit of a clusterfuck for DVD and DirectToDrive users, it's pretty embarassing. |

+22 Internets | My computer is a 3.5ghz 1gig ddr and geforce 6200 512ram....It runs like shit no matter what I do. I could run oblivion/dark messiah etc at some decent settings. Makes me sad. Also is the camera annoying for anyone else. I having a hard time get an angle that works. |
