I can't believe there isn't much talk around here about Gears of War. The game looks absolutely amazing and the gameplay looks top notch. Well anyway, videos are more fun than words.

Yeah I've had it reserved for forever now. I'm kind of having doubts now since the hype isn't as much as I thought it'd be.

I'm looking forward to it, but I honestly don't think it's going to be all that. It's definitely the first big jump in graphics and environments I've seen on a next-gen title, but from the gameplay videos, the mechanics look a bit shallow. It seems to be a more visceral GRAW, but without any depth beyond the combat. It's also odd that there's still no downloadable demo, but maybe that's just due to filesize issues...

I hear the demo is coming out *after* the game ships. That's just loose rumor so don't take it as law and I have no link atm to back it up. But I can understand why.

I love the Tony Hawk series and I saw the "Nail the Trick" videos and got really excited about it. The tried the demo 2 weeks ago and if it was available for purchase, I would have ran right out to grab it. Now I'm contemplating if I really want to pick it up, as I'm already kind of bored with it.

But GoW has multiplayer co-op which sounds awesome and ups the replay value considerably. And hopefully it's online Deathmatch will more resemble Halo 2 than the unplayable shit-fest that was Saint's Row multiplayer.

It definitely looks amazing. It just blows every other Xbox 360 game away and really makes you wonder what the fuck the other developers are doing.

I am curious about this game. The actual gameplay does not seem inovative, but the very high production level in visuals and sound (nice music in the gameplay video and voices sound nice too both in delivery and timing) with what seems to be a good art direction might result in something with a very good athmosphere.

That huge spider thing in the video reminds me of Contra, which isn't a bad thing

Purposely avoiding the 2517 videos for this so I won't spoil the visuals the first time through. I watched one or two and the graphics look jaw dropping, lets hope the gameplay is as good as people are reporting.

I just hope the single player has a decent duration to it, won't be able to play multiplayer until I get a better cable connection.
