+1 Internets | I'm thinking about picking this one up for the 360. Has anyone had a chance to play it yet? I never played X-Men Legends but I hear it was a great action RPG. I'm wondering how this is in terms of gameplay "volume". I realize having a shitload of characters probably means it has a lot of replay value, but are there a lot of stages and difficulty levels as well? I don't really want to pay full price if the game is only going to last a few hours. Then again it looks like it has online play, but I wonder how that is. |

| picked this up for the PC and I can't get it to run...crashes to desktop right after launch every time. Tried everything, and taking it back. Just thought I would share in case anyone was considering it. My Specs: AMD 3800+ x2 , A8Nsli premium, 2 gigs ram, 6800GS. All the latest drivers etc. The only thing I can think of is that I don't have a sound card...I run the codec off the board...and the system requirements for the game included a 16bit sound card. I suppose I could slap in an audigy or something, but I doubt thats the problem. Anyway, maybe this is off topic, but I hope I can save someone some frustration if they are considering this. |

+1 Internets | Wow I didn't even know it was released for the PC. Then again mass-appeal games like this are usually released on every possible platform including mobile phones and shit. I'm sorry to hear that its not working though. I hope you can get your money back, but I hear most places don't accept returns on PC games anymore. |

Not really talking about the remote, more about the fact that Nintendo Wii is made for party games, in my opinion; I don't really consider this a party game. | |

+1 Internets | I grabbed this for the 360 yesterday. I bought the PAL (UK I think) version because it was like 2000 Yen cheaper than the the U.S. version. I must say its a lot of fun. I never played the Xmen Legends games before but this is really cool, especially if you know who the Marvel characters are. I think there is a bug with having Wolverine in your party though. It says that he doesn't gain a point every level to balance him out, but I think its bugged where the other people in the party with him miss out on a point every level as well. Anyone else experience this? |

+8 Internets | Really? It seems like Wolverine is gaining a point every level for me (XBox 360 version). He is definitely pretty good. Captain America seems just a good though. With his haste and shield throw you can clear rooms really easy. Anyway, this game is a hell of a lot better than I though it would be. Basically its Diablo2 with better combat and a lot more ways to advance and unlock skills. The level design is great and theres a lot of variety in them, and in boss fights. I also like some of the mechanics, like the team bonuses and picking energy or health when already full gives you XP. It really encourages you to try and do flawless fights and not get hit or waste energy. |

+8 Internets | there's no bug with wolverine AFAIK. Characters don't get a skill point per level until after 10 regardless. You can ditch wolverine at ~level 2 at the very first extraction point and it'll still skip every other level. Seems like an overall improvement over XML2. Few things I don't like: Can't control stats as easily. In a sense, this is nice from a balance perspective... since Invisible Women probably shouldn't deal more melee damage than say... Thor. On the other hand, it really cuts down the ability to really customize your characters. Major annoyance points for having to manually disable auto-equip and auto-skill up on EACH INDIVIDUAL CHARACTER instead of a global option. I'm still not sure if I like the whole costume thing. I'd be pissed if I found out my best costume for a character is the 3rd (or 4th costume) when it can be a very long time before you get it. Upgrading a costume you aren't going to use long run is pretty much wasteful. The AI is still a non-threat the vast majority of the time. The minor bosses (like health regen, enhance damage, etc) are barely noticable from the every day soldiers. There's literally no way to be killed by any non-boss encounter assuming you're even remotely competant. Granted, I'm still on Normal... I somehow don't see this changing very much when I switch to Hard difficulty. 'Tank' heroes are still completely pointless. Unless you're playing as the high-defense/HP character, enemies will simply ignore the 'tank' and go for whatever character the player controls (95% of the time). You simply switch to another character moments before death, and that character will not die to anything sans AoE's. Considering the game's difficulty, it's not a huge deal... but it kind of negates a decent number of skills. Still insanely fun though. Haven't tried it on Live yet. Blank |
