+17 Internets | dot hack//G.U. Vol.1 - Rebirth I've played this game a mere 15 minutes and am already in love with it. First off - the graphics are fantastic for a PS2 game and have a great style to them. It's a VERY different visual experience than the previous series (which were pretty lack luster). And most importantly - the gameplay. It's fucking great. It's smooth as hell and quite similar to Tales of the Abyss and Star Ocean 3 in concept - but it pulls it off a lot better than either of them I'd say. I know the previous games turned a lot of people off, but GU is a VERY different experience. I'm extremely surprised at just how fun this game is and how great it looks. I seriously suggest that anyone who enjoys action RPGs go out and try it, especially if you're a Tales fan. Also, my Haseo figure owns. |

| Good to hear, I'm a big fan of this series, and liked the prior games too, but the complaints about them were pretty legitimate. Really glad they improved the game play with GU. I just found the last disc of the anime I didn't have so other than FF12 looks like it'll be a .hack for a few weeks for me. |

+17 Internets | No, you'll understand a lot of things about the background of the world better, but it's not necessary. It stands on its own without any need for it. And if you get the Special Edition with the "Terminal Disc" it has thse narrated movies that retell the four previous games and gives a lot of insight to what happened. It also has features that get unlocked as you play the GU series and load data from it. I highly recommend the SE. Actually, I'd say that getting the information from the Terminal Disc is far far better than playing through the previous games - especially with the way they present it. |

+4 Internets | Oh wow, I didn't even know they were making a new series for this. I played the first series about halfway through the third game, but doing the same looking dungeons over and over again just with different colored mobs got pretty boring. Awesome to hear some good things about this new one, though. I can't wait to get it and try it out now. |

+17 Internets | The way they do areas has changed a lot too, dungeons and fields are completely separate. They also have objectives to complete in them for lewtz and what not. Like defeat a boss, or collect all the treasure, ect. |
