| Madden 07 on Wii It pretty much looks like every other version of Madden 07, but the controller is really going to add a cool aspect to the game. I haven't bought a Madden game since 02, but this will be a must have once I get the Wii. http://youtube.com/watch?v=izw-zlxoVoU

| Looks pretty cool. I already have Madden 07 for the PC so I wont pick it up on the 19th (I'll be too busy playing Zelda anyways). So much potential for games to incorporate movement with the Wii. I can't wait to see what developers come up with. I'm waiting for the game where you strap little sensors onto each wrist and each ankle and actually play the game by walking around in your living room, swinging your arms, etc. Holodeck here we come! +20 Internets | Unimpressed. No way am I going to be dancing around playing like the other commercials either. I figure the first month people have the Wii they'll over-motion their movement and after that everyone will just do the very basic movements to get shit done (like if you watch a dev play red faction).

| I don't see whats all the fuss about. So instead of pressing left or right on a control pad you jerk to the left or right? Instead of pressing the "X" button to jump, you jerk your "nunchuck" backwards? This all sounds like Power-Glove technology from the 80s. Do you think these games are suddenly going to be more fun because you do motions now instead of pressing buttons? When I first heard about the Wii with all of the "It knows its position in 3D space!" bullshit that was going around I was interested. However now it seems like every game is just going to replace pressing buttons with wrist jerking. I haven't seen any game yet that proves it will do anything other than perform a preset action when the require motion is inputed. I was hoping Red Steel might allow total freedom with the sword control, but it appears that there are only a few preset attacks that are defined by which direction you swing in. I don't see why everyone is so excited over this. I personally would prefer the accuracy and convenience of a normal controller to waving my arms around to trigger some pre-set animations. |

| Not all games will use the Wiimote/Nunchucks movement dealy. You can use a regular controller(Or even a gamecube one if they're the same) for a fair amount of games, especially downloaded ones :P

| Yeah thats great but then what is the point of owning a Wii? Because of Nintendo's choice of not going the technology route, every game will have to go crazy with the controller scheme or it will just be a normal game with comparatively shitty graphics. I can't say I'm too excited about downloading games that are 10-20 years old either... I'd rather just emulate the shitty ones or pick up Game Boy Advance versions of the good ones (Link to the Past, Marios, Final Fantasy games etc...). |
